I am currently looking for a SATA2 10,000RPM drive, and i dont know of it exists. Does anyone know of 1, and if not, would you reccomend 2xraptors or 2xSATA2(unknown make/model) both RAID 0?
The 150GB Raptors do not support 300MB/sec transfers, but like any other hard drive today, that is not an issue, because no hard drives ever exceed 150MB/sec in STR anyway (and probably not in burst either).Originally posted by: sm8000
Are the 150GB Raptors SATA II?

SATA2 is completely worthless. Nothing can put out 150 mbps.
Yes, the 74 is much improved over the 36. I have the 36, and while it's a decent drive, normal 7200rpm drives have long surpassed it. The 74 is a good choice for a single drive, but I would prefer a single 150 over two 74's RAIDed in level 0, personally.Originally posted by: Stallion72
I think ill go with the 2 raptors, though i dont know if ill go to the 74 or stick with the 36. I dont really need over 80 gig, i only use 60 now. Does it really make that much of a difference to go to the 74?
