Does UPS ship on Jan 31?

I have a package that is really close to my home (42 minutes away) according to UPS tracking details. Do they do any shipping on Jan 31st?

January 31st? Are you sure you don't mean December 31st?

Anyways, as taken off UPS's site:

Time-in-transit notes: On UPS holidays - Nov. 28, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1 - there is no time in transit movement for any packages tendered to UPS. Also, Nov. 29, Dec. 24, and Dec. 31 are "UPS air and international package" transit days only. For other UPS services, these are not transit days.

So I'd assume most likely no.

My local UPS guy told me that on the 31st UPS will only be picking up packages, everything except Ground, hope this helps

Ok I checked out the tracking website and its in Baldwin Park right now. That is 7 minutes from my house. Is there anyway that I could go to wherever it is and pick up the package there. There is no point in the package just sitting there for 2 whole days. Where do they store the packages? Is it in the Post office?

Sudheer Anne, if you call UPS, they will let you know if Baldwin Park is a location you can pick up your package from; it all depends on what type of location Baldwin Park is. And, no, UPS is not a government carrier, they do not hold packages at the USPS. Hope this helps

Thanks a lot man, I'm gonna call them in the morning. I'm really anxious to get my RMA'd motherboard back and put my computer back together again. I havent had a computer for this entire semester of college, and I leave for school again on Sunday so I want to make sure I can put my computer back together again before school starts.

well bad news, I can't go pick up the motherboard despite it being 7 minutes from my house. The package must come to my house first before any alterations are made.
