Maetryx here,
Anybody get these two playing nice together? I've been trying to get digital sound effects back into my old DOS games under WinXP, and VDMSound is supposed to do exactly that.
But so far no good. Every game I've tried it on (Blood, Rise of the Triad, Duke Nukem 3D) stops exactly when the first sound effect is supposed to occur. I've tried a lot of different SoundBlaster settings (BTW, VDMSound emulates a SoundBlaster), edited the .ini file and basically have done everything obvious.
So. Does anyone know if this simply doesn't work with the Hercules Game Theater? That almost can't be the case because the software is supposed to be hardware independent. But anyway. Anyone?
