According to a new sneaky provision in the healthcare law, employers with more than $500,000 in interstate commerce, must give women up to 1 year after childbirth a room other than a bathroom, which is resistant to intrusion and provides resonable privacy, so they may operate lactation machines while at work. Employers must also provide women time to occupy those rooms, other than normal break or lunch times, to perform the process.
I would hate to be an small employer right about now with all the new costs and regulations, trying to find broom closet while they figure out what to do next.
Where I used to work at, everything was fine in the womens bathroom. I dont know why they had to heap yet another cost to employ people. :hmm:
