Does your Ipod Nano get to the "fully charged" screen?

According to the manual, it only takes about 3 hours to fully charge a Nano. I gave it three hours last night but I never got the fully charged screen so I decided to let it go overnight and it just keep charging and this morning it still has the Do not disconnect screen instead of the "fully charged (plug)" screen the manual shows.

Is this normal and is anything wrong with my Ipod?

I have an older iPod, mine stays at do not disconnect - I think if you set the ipod up to act as a removable disc, then you get do not disconnect always, regardless of the charge state - if you leave it in the defauly "synch with itunes" mode, it never has do not disconnect because it's ok to just unplug it (unless you are writing to it), so when it charges up you get a new screen.

That's fine, if you eject the ipod from iTunes, for example, but leave the ipod connected, it will still charge the iPod. In this case, then, the "Fully Charged" screen will appear.

If you set the ipod up as a removable disc, you MUST eject it manually before disconnecting or you have the potential for corrupted files. Sounds like that's what is happening, because if you don't eject it on manual, it always says do not disconnect. Also says that with anapod if you don't eject.

I had that problem twice. I did a firmware upgrade/resetting of the Ipod and that fixed the problem.
