You my friend must have never had a dog, I have two and would never eat dog meat.
My dogs are part of the family, and If I was driving down the road and there was my dog on one side of the road a person on the other and I could not stop I would run over the person before my dog.

I would NEVER eat it myself but if people of other customs do and find it to be a delicacy, I'm not going to say it doesn't taste good. I've never tried it so I can't really be a fair judge.

i have owned a dog, but i can say, just because we find it wrong, doesnt mean it is "evil." Cows are sacred to some, but we eat them, so we are just as "evil."

i dunno about him, but i would do the same thing. choose a stranger over a family member? yes.... my dogs are very non-judgemental, always excited to see me etc. what has that stranger ever done for me? i'd rather go to jail than live with myself after running over my own dog.
