I had one from the time I was 9 until he died when I was 25, he was an old as Airdale, man I love that dog.

Yeah, dachshunds are not really outside dogs.

German Shepherds are fantastic dogs! I have a little sister about to leave for culinary school in NYC, I want to train her a German Shepard and gift her with a Kimber .45Auto.
My step father owned two gigantic Huskies, one of them was offspring of the other and a champion sled dog. Absolutely huge, and obeyed him like a Dobbie.

As I recall the Turkish military tried to replace German Shepard and Doberman based K9 units with Anatolians, but turns out their individual, free thinking nature ( like collies almost) made them unsuitable for the strict rules of K9 security work.

We went to a cheese-making class at a goat farm in southern Oregon and they had three Anatolians guarding their goats. Amazing dogs. Too smart for me. The smarter a dog is the more work it takes to train and entertain them.

I grew up with Beagles and love them, but when I got my own place I just didnt have the yard/space for a Beagle, so I would up with an Italian Greyhound, and they are pretty damn awesome little dogs. Italian Greyhounds are just rare enough too that I get questions about him wherever I take him.

I don't have a time to host a pic, but mine looks like this, only his face is more full and hes all brown/light blue like a weimaraner. Mine also weighs 12 lbs which makes him a bit big for an Iggy

I've had a Pyrenees for 10 years now, but her health has been going downhill lately.

English Pointer (family used to breed them)
Weimaraner (omg I love this ghost dog)
Rajapalayam (pure Indian breed, wonderful temperament)

Sadly, one of each breed has died in my arms. Breaks my heart every time.

My favorite is the most needy looking mut currently out for adoption at the dog rescue.

I hate dogs under 30 pounds...not hate, just generally dislike...they just seem like larger cats.

Shiba Inu's are cool, but they break my rule of under 30 pounds ^_^.

i saw this funny looking big mutt that must've been a a bull terrier mixed with some big dog like saint bernard. It's huge, got the bull terrier head, mainly white with patches of brown/black short fur.

I like smaller dogs myself, had a half shin tzu mutt that was great fun to play with but too bad I had to gave him away. I am pretty set to get a pure pug when I can, my second choice would be a long coat chihuahua, but they are kinda paranoid.
