Yesterday my mom adopted a CUTE baby Labrador (Lucky), she is 3 months old girl

Anyway, the first day Lucky started to eat her own poo. Why is that? How can we stop this?

Also, how long does it usually take to train Lucky to Poo and Wee at a certain spot in the house and not random areas in the house? What should we buy to do that?

Also, when we touch the bowl while Lucky is eating she growls really loud and its like she is attacking us. How can we stop that? Please help my poor mom and puppy out D:

Thank you.

First off why do you want the dog to shit and piss inside to begin with?

Also dogs do this as they are nasty animals so just don't let her lick your face after.

How the hell are we going to open the backdoor? If it's open all the time it's not safe..?

We have a conservatory and Lucky sleep under the pool table
but I want her to poo in the corner or something. Obviously I will let her poo and wee outside when my mom and I are awake. When we go to bed, Lucky can't go outside
Like I said this is the 2nd day. We need help. Lucky is pooing and weeing everything ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( and eating poop

First off, dogs have the ability to hold it when they need to pee/poop. This is called house training. As a puppy, they aren't aware of the appropriate places to relieve themselves. You need to be taking them out every 20-30 minutes while you're home. When you aren't home/awake, you need a crate. Put them in the crate. Dogs are averse to peeing/pooping where they sleep. Eventually, the dog learns that it's best to hold it until you let them outside. Be a good pet owner and don't force a young puppy to wait more than 3 or 4 hours when you aren't home.

As far as growling when you touch the food bowl, this is called food aggression. You need to train it out of your dog to protect other dogs and children. You basically need to screw with your dog/their food while they're eating. Make them sit before putting down the food bowl. Only give them 15 minutes to eat then pick it up. Pet them and touch/pick up the bowl while they're eating. If they growl, scold them and make them sit again before allowing them to eat again. Basically, show them that you are the boss.

Cesar Millan says the best thing you can do is finish the poo before Lucky gets to it. This will also show the little fucker who is boss and stop it from growling at you.

Seriously? Buy a book.
Seriously? Do some research.
Oh, hey, and try and do some of this BEFORE YOU GET THE FUCKING ANIMAL!!!

How are you "training" the dog? I can only imagine based on your post that you have no idea what you're doing and unless you get serious immediately ... you should return the animal.

It was Lucky, in the conservatory, with the poo. Does anyone have any of those cards?

But seriously, dog training is a lot of work. You have to be patient, and reading and asking for help is good. But doing so before you brought the dog home is better. Good luck

You need to take her outside as soon as she starts to per or poo. Even if you think she is done. This way he'll associate bathroom time with outside. When she does go per or poo outside you make a really big deal about it petting her and telling her she's a good girl.

Eating her own poo could be a sign of an upset stomach. Might need to change her food. Are you feeding her the same brand as the place you bought her from? If so might need to see the vet on that.

None of this behaviour is particularity abnormal. Though, some of it is undesirable.

At 12 weeks, your puppy is at the age where she can begin to learn.

My suggestion is to take her for long walks at a regular time. And then after she defecates, just pick it up (use a small garden tool) and dispose of it yourself. Suggested times include, first thing in the morning, last thing at night, and before or after she eats.

Once you put her food bowl down, it would be prudent not to move it. Try to feed her at the same time and the same place every day. Don't pick up, or move, the bowl until she is finished.

Be patient and be consistent. What you want to do is establish good habits. Likely, it will take time.

If you can, enroll you and her in a basic obedience class. You need to learn how a dog communicates. She needs to learn how a human communicates.

If you are close to a library, check out a book about dog training.

Best of luck,

Uhg. Do some research first next time please. Puppies, despite what people want to believe, are a ton of work. Cute, but really takes a ton of effort and time investment in order to get things right, which will NOT occur unless you train them effectively.
