That's as may be, but it's the DOG'S fault it got run over, not theirs.

Yup, it's the dog's fault that those assholes were racing and caring more about their stupid home video than driving defensively, looking out for things like animals that sprint cross the road.

It's always sad to see an animal die like this.

But it's impossible to find blame/fault on one party alone. We can go about all day saying "well if the driver were following the speed limit, this wouldn't have happened", or "if the dog was on a leash, it wouldn't have happened". There is no end to the "what if's".

If the kids didn't get cars, none of this would have happened. Hell if the kids weren't even born, none of this would have happened...see how you can keep pointing fingers.

The point is that it sucks for the drivers, the animal, and the animal owners.

This should be a reminder that you should:

a) Not drive recklessly ever....you never know what will pop out onto the street
b) Keep your animals leashed or in safe areas, watch them at all times to avoid incidents like this

Okay, what if they swerved cause of a dog jumping in front of them? Is it worth swerving out of the way for an animal that is dumb enough to run in front of two cars? They could have hurt themselves or other bystanders. It's funny to see people make fun of other humans who get hit by trains because they were idiots but when an animal dies because it runs in front of a bunch of cars it's sad...

I won't watch that and I watched the video of that guy getting his head cut off in Iraq a couple years ago.

I hit a dog once that ran out from between two parked cars. Wasn't a damned thing I could do to prevent it. Sucks but sometimes these things happen.
