The 120 has good flavor, however the aftertaste is a little too alcoholy for my liking. It reminds of the aftertaste from a shot of vodka.
Would I turn some down? No. Would I buy it again. Probably not. The 90 is good and would be my choice.

I keep a dozen or so $8-$15/bottle beers so I can have one to finish off the night, but I'm far too cheap to make any of them including the 120 IPA my drink of choice for the evening.

I love the 120. Their world wide stout is pretty amazing too. They both age pretty well.

120 is excellent! But man, it packs a punch! A great brewery. No doubt about it!

Going much above 8-9%, it gets tougher to totally remove the alcohol bite aftertaste.

Russian Imperials going from 9-12% are one example. I will say, letting it age does smooth it out. Still have a Brooklyn Brewery Black Chocolate Stout (10%) from 2007 that I've kept around, probably will be nice once I get around to it.

A store owner is usually required to buy by the case ($150+) from the distributor and is not going to want to stock this stuff unless he knows he can get rid of it.

Yeah, all the offerings from Dogfish Head are available in MI. They've got a lot of good stuff besides their IPA's. I'm really a fan of Dark Horse Brewery's offerings too. Hopefully Anheuser-Busch won't screw up Goose Island (they fired the brew master) because I'm a fan of theirs too.

Stupid Ohio banning beers with ABV over 12%. I've had the 90 before, I'd love to try the 120 and see how that is. Might have to take a trip to PA to pick some up.

120, or most of DFA's products, does little for me. I don't mind hops, but I'm just not enough of a hop head to enjoy the 120. Does seem to be one of those beers people fawn over though.

It's a little much for me, but I can see why IPA fans would love it. I much prefer their Midas Touch and Shelter.

FYI - at least around here in TX - since it's above the legal 15.5, it'll only be sold in liquor stores, if they choose to carry it.

It's great stuff...not something to pound while watching football games on Sunday. More of a nightcap
