DOH. ANTEC FUSION MIA

Been waiting for months now for the ANTEC fusion HTPC case to be released.

For the past month newegg has announced the ETA as 17 March

March 17 is here and newegg? Well newegg honored the date by removing the ETA for the fusion.

Any of you ATers have an idea when this case will be available?

Loosing my patence and about to overpay for a different case.

ANTEC-CSR any comment on when the fusion will show up?

ANTEC is about to loose a costomer if they don't get off their fusion but.......

For the Fusion: Everytime I ask the date seems to change. At this point I'm waiting to the I see them in the warehouse myself before I say when they'll be here. The last delay came about because the President saw the final sample and basically said that looks like *&%! and we're not going to sell it like that.

Newegg is cracking me up!

Every day they update make the ETA of the fusion and make the new ETA tomorow

So I guess that's answer mcveigh. The fusion will be here tomorow

Unfortunately that will be the same answer tomorow and the day after and the day after...

Can someone give me the low-down on this case or some links to pictures/reviews? I need a super quiet PC since it's in the same room as my audio system, and I figure instead of having a tall tower, this would fit in well with my components. I would plan on using it with a high-end sound card.

The tale of woe has just gotten worse. Newegg changed the ETA to "7/1/2003"

Edit: I just check newegg again. Now, it's totally gone. Good News?!? Perhaps, it was pulled because the ETA kept changing. Hopefully, it's out sooner than later. Keep us posted with whatever you can AntecCSR.

Looking for something to fit in my coffee table and still look decent in the family room.

Now it's either: Standard desktop case (Directron has a nice looking black one for $50)

OR

Go with a rack mount 4U case. (dealsonic has one for $65 with psu same cost as this, plus can lock the drive area if I ever have kids).

I guess our only hope is that like most of the other ANTEC cases a 3rd party starts offering them. What is it cheiftech that makes the antec look alikes?

coolermaster 611 is supposed to be out very soon and support a full ATX mobo.

think 610 plus full atx support

I'm not sure why Newegg has July as the ETA. Since I don't have any info to indicate it's that far off.

Last time I heard, they are not releasing ATC-611 soon due to power supply issue.
The ones that come with the case is a 200W unit.
Cooler Master think the price will be too high when fitting with a 300W power supply.

BTW, ATC-611 uses 2U rack power supply, so it does get $$$ for large Watts power supply.

Probably to stop people like us from bugging them for a release dayt.

on avs forums someone said it was released in europe and then they found a lot of flaws/errors with it and they are fixing them before USA release...FWIW

the only visible flaw I can see is its depth.
With that kind of depth, it will not fit into most stereo racks.
Maybe that's the reason they hold the project.

We have delayed it because there were a couple of design elements that were
causing QC concern in manufacturing, we are doing everything we can to
resolve those but we don't want to release anything that is less than our
best to the market.

In other words we don't want to release something that has such potential but just
enough wrong that a lot of people return it.

My question is on the ETA. The original release date was middle of March. Then I heard a delay of 5 weeks from the original date. That timeline has already past. I have to decide whether I should wait for the release or go with another case. So any info would be helpful.
