Saw the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUG9qYTJMsI and thought it was a spoof. Turns out it's real, according to a story on CNET I saw this morning.

Interesting idea - razors so cheap that you will replace them often enough to get a good shave every time.

I haven't bought a razor in years. Gillette or Schick usually sends me one free razor a year promoting their new razor. I use that til the next free promotion.

Love the video and their jab at Columbia Records on their website, however I don't see that this would save me any money.

I buy the 6 bladed Gillette Proglide, usually with a coupon that puts the price around $7-$8 at Kroger. One blade will last me three weeks easily. The razor comes with 2 blades, so I'm getting about two months worth of shaves for $8. Their comparable Executive is $9/month.

But their pricing doesnt really save me any money. I buy the 8 pack Gillette fusion blah blah and it lasts me 4 or 5 months usually. The blades on amazon are only 3.50 per. Vs the executive pack from dollarshave which the blades are 3 per and you get three per a month whether you use them or not. And like CPA you can find coupons to lower the prices even more at local stores.

I think they need to offer a every other month option or something for people like me who would possibly sign up but just dont need 3 blades per a month.

I have a mans beard & need a good razor. Ive been dumping tons of money into Gillette products & just recently bought a 20 pack of cartridges at Sams Club. Once that pack is almost used up, I might try these guys.

wow a hundred blades a week, just one stroke with each?

I use an electric for my face and a regular razor for the neck. The razor lasts a month at least.

So sign up for a year and then cancel, you will have 3 years worth of blades if you only use 1 a month.

1 razor a month? I usually go through 2 a month but I bought a pack of 52 single blade plastic disposable razors at costco for like $26.


nm, read the actual site. so you get the handle and 3 blades per month with the $1 deal. How much is S&H though? That might kill it.
looks like 2.00 for S&H? so $3 a month, $36 a year. Thats not bad considering cartridges for namebrand razors are like $8 for 4 cartridges.

At first I thought this was a good deal. But I would use their $9 blades. A set of Gillette Fusion's costs around $22, but the blades never seem to get dull so they last me a good 6 months.

Doesn't make sense.
