Never owned a pet Dolphin before but we own 4 goldfish and they come to the front of the glass and watch you when you watch them and anytime you open the lid to feed them no matter what time they come to the top waiting for the food to be dropped. Very smart fish and in no way shows what I was told that they dont remember 10 seconds ago.

doesn't seem credible.

there are plenty of smart animals. they each may fail a different aspects of intelligence, but that doesn't make them dumb as a goldfish. thats simplistic.

I would have to disagree, a dolphin realises that it would die if it attempted to jump out of a pool it is in and therefore does not attempt it. A goldfish on the other hand has no such sense of space and jumps out of it's bowl and suffocates.

I've kept many fish, and they're all extremely functional, but almost totally devoid of intelligence, they don't really learn, other than extremely basic feeding routines...

My baby cousin put her goldfish in a cup and it jumped out of it.. it's because it couldn't breathe.
