Domain Forwarding

If I have a domain www.domain.com and I want to forward that address to another domain (www.domain2.com), I can do URL and frame forwarding.

URL forwarding redirects it to www.domain2.com, but I want the user to see www.domain.com in the address bar.

Frame forwarding keeps the address bar at www.domain.com, but with any page accessed, the address bar will stay www.domain.com.

Is there any way I can make it so it uses the original domain, www.domain.com but have it so that the address bar will reflect what page the person is on?

That's a pretty common problem and I don't think there is a way to prevent what you are describing. At least I haven't seen it solved yet.... LMK if you figure it out since I'd be really interested.

Just point the second domain to the same IP address as the first domain. This won't work to well if the server is using name-based hosting, unless it is configured to recognize both domain names.

Been a while since I've done anything with DNS, but there are different types of DNS records besides AA names, like aliases.

For example, in a CMD window box do a nslookup for yahoo.com and www.yahoo.com.
Notice how www.yahoo.com is actually an alias for www.yahoo.akadns.net?
This is probably because yahoo actuall hosts their own yahoo.com boxes and akamai does all the image cacheing from their servers.

It should be quite easy to register multiple domain names for the same IP address destination and to set your Web server to reply properly to the correct URL/URI request (either name for either site) and additionally set your DNS servers with the same setup.

As for forwarding requests based on different URL's/URI's to different address locations, that should probably be done on your better routers.
