my friend owns fusioncities.com.... the free hosting isnt available yet, but domain hosting is available. I believe you get 20 mb of space for the free hosting, but i dunno about domains. I know for a fact its more than 3 mb tho, lol. Fusioncities also offers SQL.

anyways... i'd say its a pretty damn good deal.

No, you are wrong. You get absolutely ZERO space for hosting. And why are you contradicting yourself?

well until he offers free hosting, i dont see this being a so-called **hot** deal.

edit: i noticed that fusioncities.com nameservers point to dnsexit.com. is this being hosted off a cable/dsl connection? oh nevermind, did a tracert and looks like it's being hosted off a roadrunner cable connection. your friend planning on moving their server(s) to an actual datacenter?

Nice little advertisement for your friend. I have my site on my DSL, but I wouldn't start selling space on it...

Hosting on a cable modem is never a good deal, especially when their prices are not much better than professional hosting..

My favorite part of their website:

Why don't you go with godaddy.com for the domain then dixiesys.com for hosting. Seriously cost about $27 bucks a year but they are with reliable companies with actual bandwidth.

That's the best combination! Except I would replace GoDaddy.com with NameCheap.com for domain registration.

If you are that cheap, go to www.namerider.com or www.netnic.us - $12.99, domain registration with full control, 10 page wensite, bunch of other uselfess stuff that 99% people don't want, but it's cheap, simple, fast, and it's up.

slugg it does not look like your friend can add!

Domain Registration
$11.99 / 1 year or $25.99 / 2 years

Why would anyone sign up for the 2 year plan, it is supposed to be cheaper not more expensive!

Oh brother. Is this another Cyberwings type setup. There's no money in web hosting by itself. I'm a believer that with hosting, you get what you pay 4. Beware.

Oh, and yes, I did sign up for cyberwings, regretably. But, the $$$ lost was tiny. My domain is still registered for 1.5 years anyway.
