I don’t know, I think this shows something different and probably worse. It shows that Fox is controlled by its audience - the audience demands Fox lie to them and if Fox tries to stop its audience will find another network that will.
As this lawsuit mentions Fox really did briefly move towards telling the truth about the election but then they started losing viewers to Newsmax, who was content to continue lying.
I understand what you are saying, but I don't fully agree. That's like saying a cult member demands the cult leader lies, manipulates, and controls them. Or an abused woman demands her boyfriend/husband beats her. All of them do the same thing, they exploit weaknesses, fear, self doubt, emotions, etc, which they use to condition them and control/brainwash them into thinking that it's the way it is supposed to be. What happens when a cult shuts down? The members usually end up in another cult (very few break away from a cult). An abused women finds a new abuser. And.. Fox news audience finds a replacement for what they have been conditioned to believe, because Fox News isn't saying what Fox News conditioned them to believe is the truth.
