I wouldn't venture out to get pizza in thatI've actually been to a Pizza Hut that was set up like that by my office (go about a mile down the road and even though you're right by a police station the area turns ROUGH).
Glass/bulletproof glass with one of those movie theater speaker boxes with a mic on the other end for the guy to take your order. and a clear plastic box on rollers big enough to fit pizza boxes in so that they can be rolled out to you on the other side. Add in iron/steel bars on the front windows and you have one of the strangest Pizza Hut's I've ever been to.
I hate Houston.

We went to Outback for Father's day and a guy passed our table with a bunch of Ci Ci's pizzas heading to the kitchen. It was kind of strange lol.
Bah...most restaurants have higher turnover than that. Unless you're a straight-shooter with middle management written all over you.It happens more often than you think. When you work in a restaurant, you get tired of eating there every day.
in the hood yo

Might be a food exchange, it's pretty common actually.
Had some friends in college that worked at a Papa Johns. They were SICK of eating papa johns pizza, so they would make pizza for a Chinese place, for example, and get free food in return. They tried to call a new place almost every day. And yes, they even did exchanges with other pizza chains.
Happened when I worked at a restaurant too, but we'd never trade food for the same thing at another restaurant. If you worked at a pizza place you probably wouldn't trade for slightly different pizza. I imagine you'd be sick of pizza in general.
Where the hell in Houston did you see that - 5th Ward?
Even the Pizza Hut downtown doesn't have bars or protective glass.
lol that's awesome.
The bullet proof glass is a nice touch.
We used to have Little Caesars here, it was probably the best pizza in town, but they closed. Nobody knows why. We got Dominos recently. It's neat to be able to order online. The pizza itself is ok but nothing out of the ordinary.
Out of the Army, I worked a night job at Dominos and we did this. We also kept beer in the walk-in for closing time.Might be a food exchange, it's pretty common actually.
