I'm relieved he got dropped. What he said was entirely disrespectful. Not to say he had to say sorry to Sharpton, however. Still, what he said was downright mean and that fact should not be overlooked.

WOW, it makes total sense that somebody should be lynched for 3 words out of a four and a half hour broadcast (22.5 hours a week). Don Imus isn't some raging racist, this was clearly just in poor taste. But what is the flippin World coming to when somebodies entire career is ended over 3 words.

The World is seriously farked up wen Imus is being lynched like crazy at the same time Jackson is saying he isn't about to apologize nor does he think the Duke players need an apology. Makes total sense, Imus didn't hurt a soul (those players only knew after an attention seeking ho made it a huge national issue), the Duke players are real victims who were lynched in the media by the same people lynching Imus.

Just because the media is hounding you doesn't mean you have to talk to them. The campus could tell them to shove it if they wanted and they wouldn't be bothered. They know that without them in the media the story would die a quick death.

and, for the record, i don't know what is racist about the comment. maybe because he was insulting a group of mostly black women. but my mom's hair is nappy. (yes, i had to look that word up.) and she's as white as they come.

it wasn't racist until jesse and al decided they could get some face time (and probably make a buck or two) by exploiting it.

I was thinking about something similiar to some of the fact in that article lastnight.

The black community is 99% at fault of a majority of racism today. The black community wants their singling out.. they want their BET, their history months.. soul food. They just can't admit that a majority of them want to be heard and singled out. The black community brags about how they are overtaking sports; and breaking through in golf, hockey and other "white" dominated sports.

Nice to know a couple of minister can't forgive and are going for blood.
Sharpton/Jackson forgiveness is only for people of color...

The only reason these two should be on TV right now is to be begging for forgiveness from the Duke players who they lambasted and convicted in the media.

If what Imus said was so racially bad everybody on TV wouldn't be saying it 10 times an hour each. The real issue is Imus attacked private citizens who couldn't defend themselves unlike the public figures he normally attacks.

I would surmise that there are many teams in Europe that would completely dominate over any long series of games against todays USA born NBA players -- mostly because of the selfless style of play and team oriented attitude. Might not be as pretty to watch but it has proven to work.
