http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2007/4/10/112340.shtml?s=al&promo_code=321D-1Former radio host Bob Grant ? no stranger to controversy ? also weighed in on the Imus flap, according to the New York Daily News.
Grant was fired from New York radio powerhouse WABC over a remark he made about Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, who was aboard a plane that crashed in Croatia in 1996. Grant told a caller: "My hunch is [Brown] is the one survivor. Maybe it?s because at heart I?m a pessimist.? After Brown was found dead, Grant?s WABC contract was terminated.
"Everything doesn?t come out the way you want,? he said regarding Imus? comment.
"There were many times when I?d be going home and say to myself, ?What the hell did I say that for?? But that?s the pace you work at. That?s what people don?t take into account.?
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1556803/20070410/id_0.jhtmlIt's a completely different scenario," said Snoop, barking over the phone from a hotel room in L.A. "[Rappers] are not talking about no collegiate basketball girls who have made it to the next level in education and sports. We're talking about ho's that's in the 'hood that ain't doing sh--, that's trying to get a n---a for his money. These are two separate things. First of all, we ain't no old-ass white men that sit up on MSNBC [the cable network home to Imus] going hard on black girls. We are rappers that have these songs coming from our minds and our souls that are relevant to what we feel. I will not let them mutha-----as say we in the same league as him.

Exactly. People go to the auditions knowing what Simon is like, and many of them expecting to be humiliated. Nothing about a championship basketball game asks for that.
So, now Imus was in the booth at the championship basketball game?

I listend to Bob Grant's show for a long time, and I wondered that just about every day.
I thought Howard Stern's reaction is what the Rutgers basketball team should have said in their press conference yesterday. They missed a great opportunity. They could have ended this whole situation, made Imus look like a fool, and brought the focus back to their accomplishment. Instead they prolonged the story.

How does that make it any more acceptable? You are so ridiculous it hurts.
When you run a word like that to the ground, especially in the context of comedy, you desensitize it to the point that it's lost all meaning. The word ho has not bite left in it, no matter how hard you
*SNIP*
becomes comedic and stripped of its barbs. Call my wife a ho and she'll laugh at you. Call her a c*nt and she'll probably knock your teeth out.

Sharpton has messed up. He's made numerous comments about Jews in the past that would have gotten anyone else canned...
