I think he might end up being disappointed about the new "progressive" angle, too. Just came across a Vox article with Biden's transition guy deficit hawking. The article also stated they were backing away from taking away the filibuster, which would be completely moronic and naive (and for some like statehood -- how would that ever pass?). Somehow Biden thinks he'll be able to get bipartisan legislation passed. Even with the threat of taking away the filibuster, I can't see Republicans going mid-way to help the Democrats as they'll get obliterated by their base even for the smallest cooperation.
