TTV - Trump Television Network

Advertisers = Funk Dat.

At best, Trump can snake in rubberneckers, for a while anyway, and a majority of a minority (Republicans), but advertisers are going to be reluctant to show their goods on the new Trump White Nationalist Network... limited appeal, repercussions and all that shit. I hear you and I have no doubt that there are Trumpskyites who would be happy to call a place like that home, but I can't see it being successful in the long run.

Of course, being successful in the long run isn't in the Trump business model so there's that too...lol

From Fox Business Maria Bartiromo.

If any of you thought that looked familiar, but couldn't quite place it, you weren't seeing things! She dressed like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. That WAS her act for the night. She definitely has a shirt full of man pleasing eye candy going on.

As I mentioned in the other thread, the NRA and their various dingleberry industries will be all over that. I think vi-edit mentioned the preppers and survivalist type industry. IT would be a self-feeding beast that is far more efficient and actually real--unlike that Rossi e-Cat thing.

It worked. It kept my attention towards the screen even when that angry orange turnip was mostly in the way.

I can see them trying but I don't think it would be something that would be successful in the long term. Sure, the gold bugs, survivalists and such would flock to it to advertise to the rubes, but that's about it. Rube viewers, hacks spewing bullshit and shitty products that are pretty much ripoffs for rubes is a pretty limited market, IMO. I have no doubt that we will be seeing attempts now that the white nationalists have been pumped up by the Groping Orange Pedophile... thar's money to be sucked out of those suckers wallets!

Like their cause, I think it's doomed to fail...

The best punches were delivered to Rudy. The host and Hillary really skewered him and he was NOT amused at all! Both were great lines but I can't remember them exactly to post here.

You know you've really, really bombed when the GOP candidate gets booed at a nonpartisan church charity event where most of the audience is GOP-leaning millionaires and billionaires. In my opinion Trump pretty clearly strayed from his lighthearted prepared speech (where he had a couple of great zingers-pardon me and his wife's speech) into his standard stump venom filled stump speech

I feel a bit sorry for Trump's strategists when he so repeatedly intentionally blows something.

If I was Hillary, I would have cut out most, if not all, the roast-type jokes aimed at Trump, done a few self deprecating jokes and finished as she did-with the Statute of Liberty joke followed by the strong, emotional (for her) speech about all of our immigrant ancestors. Even so she clearly prevailed - yet again.

The "pardon me" joke was the only clever one. He otherwise sounded unhinged and angry as always.

Clinton actually landed a few jokes that nearly sounded natural.

I'm telling you too, Trump's zealots would willfully donate money to "the cause" too -- just like on those Televangelist channels. He'd continue to ask for donations to help bring Crooked Hillary down and those idiots would send in their last dimes. Hell they are doing it now!

While Trump was terrible, Clinton IMO still was too heavy handed for this type of event. 1/2 the Trump digs she took would have been perfect.

I know this has been posted, but this is both Romney and Obama's speeches at the dinner 4 years ago. What a huge difference and how much we've lost collectively as a nation.

I think Hillary would have been so much better without having to battle with a gutter dweller like Donald. He drug her down.

I'm shocked -- SHOCKED I say -- that somebody would imply our choices were better years ago.

Yeah. It's all well and good to say one "shouldn't stoop to someone else's level", but sometimes you really have no choice. And even if you bother trying to keep your head up at the same time, it usually doesn't end up impressing anyone who matters (in this case, anyone mindless enough to be "undecided" - ever, let alone by now) and you just get a pain in the neck for your trouble... It's kind of like office politics - no matter how petty and/or ridiculous they so often are, if you try to stay "above it", you invariably just end up getting knifed in the back (or at least kicked in the ass...)

I thought so too.. But then I'm glad she was. We as a country should never normalize the likes of Donald Trump. Look at the Catholic joke he made at a Catholic event. He is a reprehensible person.

He started out so well

And then he bombed so hard

If he had stopped after the great Melania joke, everything would've been fine.

Also, those tits are really distracting and she should put them away :|

Remember several years ago when Trump's "big primetime announcement" was interrupted (intentionally) by an Obama press conference (I think Obama "Revealed" his birth certificate), and then before that, Apprentice was preempted by Obama announcing the mission that killed bin Laden?

I think this was another planned case of the biggest boob on television being overshadowed. By, well, some far more impressive boobs.

To be honest, I liked Trump's jokes and delivery a lot more than Hillary's. At least until he went off the rails as usual. He should have stopped after Melania joke.

Also, interesting to note Hillary also got booed for her Trump-Putin-Horse joke.

You know....
These people, all of these people in politics really actually like each other a lot more than it would appear.
It is the nature of the beast to appear as mortal enemies, but frankly that are all American and all patriotic American.
The Obama's now hug the Bush's.
Bill and Hillary did go to the Trump's wedding, drank and toasted together, and I'm sure all had a very good time.
Senator Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani did actually work together for the good of New Yorkers and achieved many good things working side by side.

To the outsider, one would get the impression all of these politicians despise and hate each other and if given the chance would cut the others throat, or at least arrest and lock the other up.
But that is just not how it really is.

They really do like each other, outside of the world of publicity and politics.
You could even think of them as family to one another.
Something about this process does bring out the worst in people, at least it appears that way to us looking in. But down inside after the cameras are turned off and the speeches all end, they are all dear dear friends to one another.
Oh yes they truly are....

Something with politics brings out the worst in people.
And as bad as that might appear to be over here, it is much worse in other countries. Just look at the British Parliament.
They actually toss chairs, scream and shout, and throw punches.
So, as bad as it might appear to be here, it could be much worse.
But this hatred and the red faces are mostly all just for show.

People believe in what they see and hear, and we think WOW, Obama must really hate and despise George Bush. Then time goes by and we see Michelle Obama singing, dancing, hugging George Bush all hand in hand standing side by side, and people think WTF?
I thought these people all hated each other?

So it is simply the nature of the beast.
If Trump wins, he is not going to have Hillary locked up.
Sorry red necks.
And if Hillary wins, she could eventually hire the Trump and his corporation to do repairs on the Whitehouse. Or Hillary and Bill might show up golfing on one of those luxury Donald Trump golf courses, or show up spending the night in one of those luxury Trump high rise hotels.

So.... take all this politics hubbub with a grain of salt.
It's all just politics.
Presidents, all presidents past, present and future, can and will work together.
We see them on airplanes together, all big smiles, headed for some humanitarian world cause.
Or laughing together at some charitable fund raiser.
Even as bad as Richard Nixon was, tricky Richard stood right there side by side, hand in hand, with his political foes whenever asked and for whatever the good cause.

I guess the only real fools are us, we the schmucks that take all this so seriously.
If Hillary and Donald sat down together in a room, with no press, no camera, no mic's, people would be totally amazed at the love, respect, and admiration Donald and Hillary would show toward one another.
As well as the families.

After all, who knows better than the politician on how hard all this political stuff is?
The terrible toll it takes on the candidate and the family.
All the stress and sleepless nights just running around to earn a vote, raise some cash, and make the speech.
This is a club of sorts and they are the members,
Birds of a feather.
They and only they know the burden and the hard work involved.
And they do like, respect, admire, and yes even love their opponent despite how it might appear to the outsider.
To the voter trying to decide.
We are the true outsiders, they are not.
They have everything in common. The know the pain each one suffers on the campaign trail.

So when you see Trump going off on Hillary or Hillary calling Donald unqualified, or Trump calling Hillary "such a nasty woman", it's all with love, admiration, and in good fun.
Maybe we don't see that, but they sure feel that.
I agree in principle. But I don't think anyone really likes Trump. He's way too ostentatious, too braggadocious, too willing to sue small contractors into ruin. The 1% really don't like bringing negative attention to themselves.

Yeah this, from what I understand Trump usually isn't invited to successful/rich guy events. He's seen as too boorish and greedy. In other words he adds no value and is too disruptive.
I'm summarizing stuff I've read over the year.
