LOL, Did you get triggered. I don't lie.
Lying about lying.
LOL, Did you get triggered. I don't lie.
Very cute definition, too bad your fiscally conservatard buddies were cheering the recent tax cuts for the rich and corps. Subsidising billion $ businesses with taxpayers' money should go contrary to their "small gubmint" and "Keynesian economics sux, no spending!!1!" view but your typical """fiscally conservative""" type is too stupid to understand that and was instead cheering it on loud and proudly. Instead, they loved the $83 pennies they were handed, not realising that inflationary pressure and long-run tax increases means they'll be bleeding money and left worse-off than now. Oh and they apparently love giving their money to the rich. I don't know why but meh, we've already figured they're irrational dumbfucks... more power to them I guess, just don't pretend they give a fuck about reducing the deficit because it's clear as day they don't.
I don't have any "fiscal conservative buddies." I've never voted for anyone but Democrats my entire life. I'm in complete agreement with you that the tax cuts were stupid and the government should not be subsidizing big business.
GM should have been allowed to fail. The big banks should have been allowed to fail. The people responsible for the housing bubble and crash should have felt real, hard consequences rather than being bailed out. Instead they used TARP to give each other huge bonuses. Total bullshit.
A big tax cut was the last thing we needed. We need to find reasonable cuts in the budget in all areas: massive cuts to defense, cleaning up the cronyism where politicians give no-bid contracts to their buddies, stopping subsidies to big oil and finance, and also looking for ways to reform entitlement programs so there's less abuse but they still provide a meaningful, temporary safety net for US citizens.
Cutting defense, subsidies, and welfare programs basically means I have no friends on either side of the aisle. It's almost like I think for myself instead of marching to the beat of a single drum.
I mostly agree with all. You specifically say reforming entitlement programs to stop abuse, then go on to say cutting the programs. This is where we part...
Going to go back to comment on the thread title. Obviously this is an unfair over-generalization. There are certainly *some* conservatives that are kind, compassionate, tolerant people. OTOH, it is a very sad comment on the state of our country that there is still a significant proportion of the population that is selfish, intolerant, and racist. I dont blame Trump for this, although he is enabling such behavior. It is actually quite the opposite. It is the existence of this portion of the population that allowed Trump to come to power. Well that and an irrational hatred for Hillary.
(No, I dont think Hillary was a great candidate, and she definitely has issues, and is a classic "sleazy politician", but even this flawed choice was far superior to the alternative.)
It is also unfortunate that the democrats seem to have totally lost contact with middle america, and instead push their liberal agenda incessantly (environment, abortion, gay marriage, LGBT equality, immigration, etc) and other such issues. Now before I get attacked, I believe all these issues are valid, and dont categorically oppose any of them. The problem is the dems hammer away at them incessantly until people are sick of listening to them, without really addressing the major concerns of most people, which are the economy, jobs, affordable health care (well they do address this), and being able to afford to send their children to college or at least to know they can find a reasonable job. It simply blows my mind that with all the hatred and chaos emanating from Washington that the democrats have still not come up with a party leader (possible candidate) that could clearly defeat Trump in the next election.
Did you turn in those people who were abusing them, if not you’re part of the problem..However, I also have a lot of friends and family that abuse them and the goal of the programs should be to empower people to get off of them and on the road to self sufficiency.
LOL, Did you get triggered. I don't lie.
The point of the title references the degree of ignorance required to be any kind of conservative. Even being a fiscal conservative means you just haven't been paying attention to when it is appropriate to deficit spend.
Trump's statement is the epitome of ignorance.
I will say I especially like the replies here denouncing his statement but still being triggered.
I also love how boomerang is absolutely incapable of admitting Trump said something stupid.
Yeah I wasn't talking about you. I know my post wasn't exactly clear. I was talking about the people that either couldn't denounce the stupidity of Trump's statement and/or took offence to my thread title.I'm not triggered at all. As I am constantly accused on this bored of being left of center, I am actually center right.
Which means moderately conservative. And no, I do understand the importance of deficit spending is required at times. Austerity is a (an?) historically proven disaster.

Fiscal conservatives don't exist on the right anymore. They only pretend to be fiscally conservative. They are just too cheap to pay an extra $500 in taxes because they live paycheck 5o paycheck, overpaid for that F250 pick up, and can't stop grilling 5 days a week with hamberger overdose. Can't compete with immigrants because they were too lazy from 1st thru 12th grade. Too scared to go where jobs are. Too proud to settle with less pay as a stepping stone. So they blame the federal government, the Dems, the legal and illegal "aliens", everyone except themselves for their own failures.
That there makes it easier to understand your issue, you haven't read the thread but assumed I disagreed with him on the original post, it was what he said after that I found interesting.
But you would know that if you read the tread.
Tis true. I am a bad person. I enjoy schadenfreude too much.Well, the does delight in Trump and the consequences thereof. This might be a "sunny day" thing for him.

I'm sorry, who's the one trolling here? What's the big deal here? What are you guys objecting to? Trump filling vacancies, or Trump trolling Obama? I bet it's the latter, which isn't the problem. Republicans appointing judges is. It'll be the same people any other republican would have appointed. So all this comes down to is Hillary lost.
