Because he's an absurdly hilarious candidate and we have to do something to maintain our sanity for the next 16 goddamn months this shitshow will be going on.

No, what I find ironic is that the political leadership of this country, you know, the ones who call themselves "American" and work for America, are the ones who don't even mention this at all. Has Hillary talked about it? Nope. Jeb? Nope. Billy Bob? Nope.

Why? Because, unlike Trump, their future income depends on them continually whoring out this country and fucking over the middle class for them to be able to get $500k for each speaking engagement in foreign countries while bringing in backroom influence peddling deals and revolving door bullshit.

Then you get the shitbags on here saying "Well, this is good, we need China's manipulated currency, it makes Wal Mart goods cheaper!". This massively ignorant viewpoint, parroted by the ruling class, is what is the most ironic thing of all. The people who claim to be so enlightened have no fucking clue they are being assraped by their own employees.

What's truly ironic is that we'd vote for anybody who doesn't make this the #1 priority. America First, always.

Trump has been selling Kool-Aid, like Coulter and Limbaugh always has. They aren't drinking it.

You are, apparently.

Trump has been selling Kool-Aid, like Coulter and Limbaugh always has. They aren't drinking it.

You are, apparently.

No, I have always maintained that any candidate that makes stopping China's manipulative policies Priority #1 will get my support. I don't really give a crap about Trump, per se, but I do give a crap about this platform. If Bernie were run on it, I'd vote for him since I find him more tolerable in other areas.

There isn't a single issue in the country today that is more important than better paying jobs for millions of workers and the health of our economy.

That it isn't the most important thing to every single American is shocking. You'd think every candidate would be jumping on the America 1st bandwagon. It is the truth, everything backs it up.

Now why is that?

Just whose Kool-Aid is worse? The one from the loudmouth opinionated asshole that is the truth, or the forked tongue bullshit you get from every Establishment candidate.

You're told so many lies you don't even know the truth. When you see it you still won't support it.

Now who has drunk the Kool-Aid?

You cannot come up with a single counter to this.

Nothing you can say can refute the fact that when China engaged the peg, their economy shot up like a rocket because the artificially low exchange rate made their goods "competitive". Their more recent moderation is within a narrowly defined band and is well outside of their relative trading rates in a float due to accumulation of currency reserves and internal twisting.

China is going to implode soon without any help from us. You need to be patient and find a real issue to hang your hat on.

Hanging your hat on the China issue isn't so bad. Assuming that a greedy, lying businessman-turned-politician who has materially profited from cheap Chinese labor is going to vote to outlaw it when every indication is that he is motivated solely by personal greed is laughably naive. There is no material reason on Earth for Trump to actually seek out an end to the current trade agreements that helped give rise to rapid offshoring of American jobs. He talks about it because it plays well with the voters. But he's not cutting the legs off that cash cow.

Its so adorable, its like the Paulites back in 2008 who just knew that Ron Paul was going to save us all. Although this time Trump could actually buy a blimp by himself.

Trump looks out for one person, and one person only: himself. He doesn't give a shit about the US, never has, never will.

Weird you go so stupid recently, might want to go in for a MRI and see if you have a tumor or something. If so, remember to thank Obama, praise be upon him, for making it affordable.

The one thing that to me is a positive about what Trump is doing is that he's got the guts to stand by what he (allegedly) believes. Love him or hate him, I really don't care. But he's one of the few that won't curl up in a ball and wet himself like a whipped dog when a lib or a member of the media (yes, that's fairly redundant) gets on his case. Your typical lib DC politician goes berserk when they can't bully someone into submission.

Yep, he'll just lie and claim he planned it that way.

They aren't going to implode any time soon. Do you really think a monolithic command economy government is going to let go that easily?

Why can't the poor and middle class afford to pay more?

BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO FUCKING JOBS. JFC, you guys are goddamn blind.

We traded millions upon millions of decent paying jobs for a few pennies of savings at Wal Mart because Wal Mart and other companies said it was for our own good. We don't need those crappy paying manufacturing jobs, we need STEM! Everybody go to college, sign up for $30k in loans for a degree that you can't use while we offshore STEM jobs to India like Disney did.

Do you not see the problem in this?

We traded stock analyst Buy Recommendations for short-term gains for the wealthy while hollowing out the middle class who need to shop at Wal Mart because they are now stuck working at Wal Mart rather than building Briggs and Stratton engines or cars or water heaters or refrigerators or cold rolled steel.
Awesome post.

There's a certain view that the key to beating China (and Al Qaeda, etc.) is doing nothing for very long periods of time.

The big issue of this thread should be why the hell Trump has a clothing line. Surely the people who want to look like Trump would be better served by a tailor in a Smartcar.

Sometimes I think we should elect Trump so that he can do a joint venture with China, then walk off with all the profits leaving China with crippling debts in the classic "your risk, my profits" Trump Wiggle. Then I come to my senses and realize that while we're celebrating, Trump would be transferring those profits to his own account. He may be right about some things - every candidate is right about some things - but he's still Trump.

Trump is still a douchenozzle. Of course that doesn't preclude Obama, Hillary, Bush and any other beltway scumbag from being a douchenozzle as well.

That' a bit of logic that seems to elude Democrats. Just because Republicans are pieces of shit doesn't mean they're not.

Trump always "pulls out" when things look tough.

He was building a tower here in Tampa he left when things got rough for him.

If it's not to his advantage, he'll runofft in a heartbeat.

In charge of the country, phhhhhfpt.

No one would have to invade, he would put it up for auction.

Granted, I think it went up for auction a long time ago, but I still wouldn't put Trump in charge, he'd sell the whole damned thing in one shot.

Pish, posh,.. no one cares about Trump, he is an idiot!!

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2015/07/why-are-conservatives-defending-donald-trump.html

What is significant and genuinely disturbing, not to mention poisonous to the Republican Party’s electoral interests, is the fact that conservative thought leaders feel compelled to defend Trump’s nativist ramblings. And not just bottom-feeding outlets like the Daily Caller and Breitbart, either. National Review editor Rich Lowry writes in Politico that Trump “has a point.”

Thick as the pile of shit you are standing in thieves, you Conservatives are.

This.

It's all relative.

At this point, Trump is less of a douchenozzle than Billary, Obama, and Bush. Why? Because he actually speaks the truth.

You know he does when all they can do is call him a racist.

He's spouting bullshit that it's abundantly clear he doesn't even believe and then he's mixing it in with racist nativism to appeal to the extreme right.

He is taking advantage of the fact that everyone already thinks he's a clown to say things that he knows he will never need to follow through on. Im frankly baffled that anyone is still fooled by his shtick.

Is what he saying incorrect? Even Obama says "Gang Bangers" are coming over.

"Nativism". What the fuck is that? Belief that you shouldn't allow everybody who wants to come over to come over, regardless of background?

Why? Because what he is saying is correct?

None of you have disproven a single thing.

You can't. First, you aren't smart enough. Second, you're ignoring it because it doesn't fit your political ideology. Third, you love being hoodwinked.

I don't give a shit if he believes what he says. He is saying everything that is true.

Mexico is not sending their best and brightest over. A disproportionate amount are gang members, druggies, and rapists. Many women are raped on the way up. That's a fact. Why do you think they are encouraging them to come over when their own immigration laws are extremely harsh.

China is manipulating its currency. That's a fact.

Disprove either one. I double dog dare you.

So, you support a candidate who may not/probably doesn't believe what he's saying. I'd rather support someone that actually means what they say for the most part.

Mexico isn't sending anyone over. Link to show "disproportionate amount are gang members, druggies, and rapists". You made the claim, back it up with some facts.
