After much denial on Newegg's part, they admitted the package did not in fact ship on the 24th as they originally claimed to me in person (and in a followup email to me).

A full refund has been issued.

So was the issue that there was no Fedex pick-up on Monday, or was the issue that Newegg never had the package ready to ship on Monday?

Different system, and no, I did not get what I paid for.

newegg rushed and got it on the truck the day after you ordered it. fedex picked it up on one day and delivered it the next. fedex doesn't pick up on the 24th and 25th. the fact that you didn't know or understand that doesn't mean you didn't get what you paid for. the fact that newegg refunded you also doesn't mean you didn't get what you paid for. you did, in fact, get exactly what you paid for; it just wasn't what you expected.

and yes, good company.

OP - you should appreciate that Newegg actually did the refund for you, because they really didn't have to do this. As you can tell from the sentiment of this thread, most reasonable people would not actually side with you on this one so NE wouldn't even care if you told this story to everyone you know. You can of course never buy from them again, but if you think that actually hurts them, think again.
