Someone asked me what I ordered. I'm taking it on my two week cruise around Italy in a month or so, to help me remember the trip.

Has it shown up on the Fedex page as picked up yet?

(I suspect it will at any time but I may be wrong).

what pisses me off about newegg is the restocking fee for everything you want to return. all of my electronic/computer purchases will be going to amazon prime whenever possible from this point forward..

Stop buying stuff that you don't want

Restocking fees exist because people buy and return constantly, which costs the store money.

I can count on one hand how many times I've returned stuff to Newegg or Amazon (other than for an exchange due to a defect).

if i'm spending $1000 at newegg, i feel i have the right to be able to make a bad or extra purchase and be able to return it with my own shipping cost, ESPECIALLY if the damn thing is unopened / unused!!

How often do you do that however? If it isn't all that often sometimes calling and asking about it can get it waived if it is unopened. The automated stuff won't let that happen, no, but actually talking to a rep may help there.

Now if you're a habitual buyer and returner then they won't be likely to help you with that. And really, $1000 of hardware isn't all that much

I've rarely needed CS for anything at Newegg, but when I have they've been quite easy to work with.

I ordered a Nexus 7 32GB for my wife on Saturday, regular ground shipping, expected delivery date 1/2/13, kinda expected this with the holidays and 3 billion packages in the system right now. Realistically if the service was not doable because of holiday or bad weather they should not have accepted OP's$$ if they knew it was not going to be there, they do owe him a refund for the overnight (or Fedex does), I've ordered from NE countless times and never had a problem..

I'm wondering if that's the right tracking number? Does Newegg have a distrib facility in Memphis? Maybe some numb nuts typed the number into the Newegg system wrong?

WTF. What retard would blame NewEgg when they shipped his expensive order on time. Everytime, I've had issues with a delivery, I contacted the delivery company to get the issue resolved.

Has the OP even contacted FedEx at all to find out where the package is? You have the tracking number, why not call them?

Spent more time whining about the wrong company all day, when he could have called FedEx earlier in the day and gotten his damn package already.

Has the OP even contacted FedEx at all to find out where the package is? You have the tracking number, why not call them?

Spent more time whining about the wrong company all day, when he could have called FedEx earlier in the day and gotten his damn package already.

Or he could have just called before the order, rather than after, and asked if the completely-not-guaranteed rush processing and holiday-delayed overnight shipping would get the order to him in the timeframe he wanted...

I don't get why you don't just say "I ordered a DSLR" (or whatever it is you ordered). Why are you trying to sound all covert-ops/cryptic? You don't sound cool by typing the way you did.

ummm...maybe it's just me but why doesn't the OP contact the CC company and dispute the charges? Let them slug it out with Newegg.

Because that would be Fraud. He gets to Chargeback for the WHOLE transaction and keep all the shit he bought?

Newegg did nothing wrong. Its the OPs fault for not contacting them ahead of time to ask if Newegg expected a delay with their packages being picked up from the warehouse due to holiday season.

I've been buying from Newegg for 12 years and had to RMA a DOA only twice with no hassle whatsoever.

Placed order for substantial amount. Paid for rush order processing. Paid for overnight shipping. This was $34.

Order placed on 12/23 @ 11:15 AM EST.

Billed by Newegg on 12/23 that same afternoon.

Order shipped on 12/24 for overnight-NBD (that's today and I knew this going in) according to Newegg.

No package as of 5:00 PM local time 12/26.

Get on Newegg chat and they say, we're so sorry, let us email FedEx and see what's happening. Ask for shipping refund. They won't provide refund unless there is a delay.

Hello? It's end of business and I have no package on an overnight order. That's delayed.

Waiting on an email from NewEgg. Not holding my breath.

Every order I place with them has problems.

*Update*

Got an email from Newegg in which they assured me the item was absolutely shipped on the 24th for NBD service by 3:00 PM today the 26th. Newegg has done absolutely nothing to figure out where the package is or when I will get it, simply that IF I get it and it's "delayed" to contact them back and then they will help me...

When I spoke with Newegg tonight I wasn't rude or mean at all and I only asked for: 1.) Rush order refund and 2.) Shipping refund. I didn't even ask for a discount and they still turned me away.

That's what bothered me the most. The fact I don't have the package does annoy me but the poor service and indifference from Newegg is why I made this post.

As someone else said. Newegg expects 100% of the money up front for the order. I expect 100% of what I paid for. They will not accept 75% of the money and I will not accept 75% of the product/service.

this is definitely a fedex issue. everything sent via fedex has a tracking number so you can see that they arent doing their job. i ordered something the monday the seek before christmas. i was supposed to take 2 days to arrive. i had a tracking number and could see it was shipped that same monday from a warehouse in texas. it arrived at a fedex depot four miles from my home on that wednesday. the next day, thursday, its scanned in the same depot but not delivered. the day after that (friday), its scanned again in the depot but not delivered. i called fedex at 7am friday morning and when i try to talk to a person, they transfer me to an extension that says "your call cannot be completed". they had disconnected their line to prevent christmas customers from calling. i call later in the evening and they tell me it will be delivered on saturday because they are working hard to deliver. i am skeptical because the package was a "weekday package". saturday comes and it is not delivered. i call on saturday night and demand to talk to a supervisor. they transfer me not to a supervisor, but to an "escalations department" in waco texas. i insist that they ask the warehouse to search for the package and deliver it or let me "deliver it myself" by picking it up. they tell me that the depot is open on sundays but that the shipper has an account that doesnt permit pickups from the depot. i hang up. on monday (more than 5 days late) they deliver it. it has a green "urgent" sticker with a note that says "must deliva monday 12/24/12 per trace". so if you want your packages, demand that they search for them immediately (i should have done that on wednesday and i would have gotten it thursday)

TANKS FA RUININ' KRISMAS FEDEX, YOU IS DA WORSE!!!!

Agreed. If anything, he should just file a BBB complaint and go play with the shit he ordered. And got. I bet the OP also complained with things were delayed after Sandy.
