Even better. The shipping info was electronically transmitted to,FedEx at 12:30 on Monday, that doesn't mean it shipped out. They probably didn't even pick it up if the pickups are done once a day. Wouldn't get picked up till today so you'll see it tomorrow. IMO they owe you nothing except maybe a little FAQ on how overnight shipping works. It's called business days. Not Sundays, not holidays, you fail.

NBD from shipping out Monday 12/24 is Wednesday 12/26.

A big storm doesn't have to park itself over your regional hub for it to fuck up your regional shipping.

Also, previous comments regarding limited services on the 24th could very well apply. It may not have been put in transit on the 24th, thus no delivery today.

Then don't take people's money and claim you can provide a service you can't.

I paid for rush processing.

and they did. that does not mean they get it out that day. even rush ordering still is the next day (over 2-3 days).

and even worse considering you did it the day before CHRISTMAS.

really relax. odds are it will be in your hands thursday. even then this is still NOT NEWEGG'S FAULT.

Then don't take people's money and claim you can provide a service you can't.

It's up to you to have realistic expectations and knowledge of services provided/rendered.

You'll still get the package sooner than you would have by choosing a two-day service option. Thus, you are getting what you paid for - you just didn't understand what you were paying for. (that's IF it wasn't caused by storm-based delays)

I didn't pay FedEx, I paid Newegg. Newegg's profits mean what to me?

Not to mention, I have spent a substantial amount of money with Newegg over the years.

The feeling of entitlement is strong in this one.

If Newegg's profits mean nothing to you, what do you think you mean as a customer to Newegg?

I encourage you to tell every business you ever encounter on a day to day basis you don't care about their operations and profits. Be sure to tell FedEx that too; better yet, get their managers on the phone and explain to them. I'm sure you'll get everything you want.

I had a problem with New Egg this past Christmas too. I ordered rush processing for $3 and it didn't ship until the end of the week. Granted it was a Black Friday order but Amazon had no problem delivering it within the same week. Also, there is no possible way to modify the order without cancelling the whole thing which means you'll lose out on a deal if you cancel.

LOL most of you are just picking on the OP. It's so easy to call someone a cry baby when they're venting. I bet most of you (jackasses) would flip your lid too if you were in his situation.

OP, if you paid by credit card, contact them and file a claim. If you paid newegg for a service they failed to deliver on, you're entitled to a refund. Whether or not the parcel carrier is swamped due to storms, the holidays, attack sharks with lasers on their heads, is completely irrelevant. That's not your problem.

Your job as a customer is to pay for what you want. The job of the seller is to give you what you paid for. Just ask newegg if next time you place an order you could maybe pay them $30 less than what the total is, see if they'll ship your order out.

If they expect full payment, then you expect full receipt of the product and services for which you've paid. People always say to me I need to be more understanding when a business I deal with fails to deliver on their promise. When you screw up, you compensate the customer in a tangible way--"We're sorry for the inconvenience" just doesn't cut it.

<---Vega says, "Grow up Vic."

Seriously dude, it sounds like you tried to scam Newegg and they told you to shove off. Good for them. What kind of world class moron orders overnight on Xmas Eve?

I feel for you OP. No one has any sympathy for us poor schmucks who don't understand how holidays work. I drove around for literally minutes on Tuesday looking for an open store to purchase some egg nog and Rumpelminze for my patented "Jesus Binaca" cocktail. Finding nothing open that vended the comestibles I required, I was forced to settle on a 7-11 where the closest substitutes I could find were a half gallon jug of Carlo Rossi's fine Chablis and actual Binaca; the resulting trip to the emergency room gave me time to ponder why Jesus had the audacity to celebrate his birthday on a day when nothing is open. It's just the latest in a long line of Christmases spent mired in the desperation of having to suffer the selfishness of storeowners who care more about their employees than my personal convenience.

I'd expect it to be there today, but I wouldn't be upset if it didn't. I would expect the price to be lowered to 2nd day though.

Look at his tracking screenshot. It did not ship at 12:30 on 12/24. What happened was newegg printed the label. Shipping time does not start until its picked up by a truck. If 12:30 missed the pickup by FedEx for that day, then he is screwed as they wouldn't be picking it up till today. NBD from the date/time it was picked up. Not from when "Shipping Info Transmitted". Why is this so hard to understand?

Vic, what does tracking look like today for the package? I'm assuming your screenshot was from 12/24. Show us a current screenshot.

no we are just being realistic.

he ordered on 23rd. to expect it to be picked up and on its way on the 23rd is insane. that's being naive on how the world works.

the 24 and 25 NOTHING will happen. duh its a holiday.

so pickup should be today at the end of day and it should be delivered tomm. IF not then he has a real gripe and yes he should complaine to FEDEX.

yes he says he got rush processing but so far he got it (it was boxed and ready for pickup that day)

My last newegg order took three and a half weeks to arrive. They did at least give me $10 off my next order for the extra long wait time. Of course, I may just be ordering everything from Amazon now, but I appreciate they threw me something.

Call Fed-Ex, tell them how they're your preferred shipper, have been for years, but this situation has soured you and will cause you to try other services.

There are plenty of businesses open the 24th, and I expect Newegg to be as well, pretty much anyone a product directly to consumers would be. Now if Newegg got to his stuff on the 24th is an entirely different issue. Rush processing guarantees NOTHING.
