Went and got 2 sets

Had to goto another Gamestop to get the Donkey Konga 2 game though

Used the 20% off used games and got there card with some other promo and got 40% off

I went back in with the ad in hand. They were completely surprised. They even had a hard time figuring out how the sale worked. One guy tried to say it was online only until the other one pointed out that it says "must provide the flyer for price" and "IN STORE SAVINGS!"

There are two other games that I can think of Donkey Konga and Donkey Konga II. I think that is the name of them.

I grabbed a set tonite, the guy checking out was shocked. i had called the store earlier to see if they had them, they also thought the sale started Sunday.

Plus I have the original Donkey Konga + bongos coming from the Sale/Trade section ($18 shipped) so I'll have 3 sets of bongos + 2 games.

Now I have to wait til Xmas cuz the ones I got tonite are for my daughter... kinda, sorta...

If we are looking at the same ad, the first page states the sale starts 12/17, 3 days only.

The sale we are discussing ended 12/14. That is a new ad.

Cashed in on this deal. My free set of bongos was the standalone package w/o game which
normally sell for $24.99. The ebgame clerks had no idea about the sale, but it did ring up
correcty at checkout. If you want more than one set, I had to ring up each set seperately
otherwise the sale price doesn't kick in.

I wish I had seen this thread earlier in the week. I was just in there friday looking for a Wii remote. They had a tall stack of the bongos sitting on the floor. I would have picked up at least 1. I doubt I go back. The traffic was insane. I doubt the traffic will be any better tuesday. Might be back to normal price by tuesday too.

The price supposedly drops to $10 after Christmas.

Well, its pretty smart of them. Once people realize that Jungle Beat is not multiplayer they would be tempted to get Donkey Konga 1 or 2 to make use of the extra controller. Sadly, I fell for their diabolical plan and purchased Donkey Konga used for $15+tax (Donkey Konga 1 supposedly has a better song selection than 2).
