I have read the horror stories of peltiers, we all wnat to cool that CPU down to get higher speeds.

My question is would this work, and how well. Keep you PC in a Frezeer! Here is a one that may be a little big Freezer PIC

Now as long as you have few fans on your case to get rid of the hot air and a good heat sink. Should the cold air be enough to cool the system.

Condensation should not be a problem since the whole case will be frozen

Of course you will have to butcher the freezer a bit to run the cables through. But you could pick up one of these babies for under $100 ( heh heh or make room in the freezer you already have ). I think I may go shopping tomorrow.

Please let me know what you think.

P.s. heh heh, there may be thousands of you with this setup already.

it wont work because your cpu is cranking out heat so the will be condensation........

won't be any condensation on your comp pieces as long as it stays on. Once you turn it off though, they'll cool down and you may get some on your system. You could paint a layer of vaseline over it to keep it safe but that gets very messy...

There's some stuff you can clear-coat your parts with available at an overclocking store which eludes me currently. It's supposed to seal your parts from water/condensation and is clear. Perhaps a waterproof 3M spray can would work (try it on cheap parts first of course ;-)

This sounds like a tear jerker. You are going to be crying all night when your precious computer is sitting in a pool of water dead to the world. Save yourself the hastle, dont do it.

or, just wait until the condensation dries before turning it back on.

obviously, this is only for the [H]ardest of [H]ardcore.

It won't work because you'll kill your freezer. Putting an active hear source inside the freezer will overwork the cooling system. It was only designed to keep everything cool with the only heat source outside and the ocasional open door.

You can go ahead and try, but don't get mad if your freezer dies.

It will work, butr you have to prevent condensation.
And the better way is to put the whole motherboard in a tupperware full of high termal exchange industrial oil: dissipate better than air, and is not conductive. But be aware, it will destroy your graphite Duron trick, if you have.

I have heard of someone doing something like this. They were experimenting with their own water pump system and actually ended up freezing his PC.

Or you can underclock your Cpu by 50 mhz or so and just use regular air cooling! Wow what a concept!

yeah freezers been done, saw it done once by some guy who had a pc in the room with a baby, soo he was shooting for quiet, he liquid plexi'd the interior of his psu, and then piped cooled oil thru it, cant remember where i saw that though im sooooo ticked i cant find it again. have seen some done with people who do 2 phase cooling to the cpu, to defeat condenssation on the cpu he used the plastic boxes from radio shack and filled it with closed cell foam, so their was no air flow, but on his web site he had a pic of his water block with like an inch of ice on it, no cpu though. . . dual phase cooling check out www.vitualhideout.net, look for a link to superior cooling methodologies, or something like that
