If I were to buy a pack of hotdogs most of them would wind up in the freezer, where they should keep at least 2 years. I have ~ 5 year old bacon in there.

I'm lazy and don't like to cook, but holy shit, I think bacon has never lasted more than 2 months at my house, and that was back when I lived alone, shopped once a month at sams and would buy like 15 pounds of bacon at once ...

I have a very healthy life style and eating more than a token amount of bacon is anathema. I won't rule it out. I was at Costco 6 days ago and ate an offered sample, being bacon wrapped pork sirloin. But I am sure I haven't eaten more than 1/2 lb of bacon in the last 3 years combined. The only thing I do with it at home that comes to mind is frying some and adding to refried beans. Last few times I made refritos, I skipped the bacon.

On a tangent, I recently started using homemade yogurt (Instant Pot) in place of sour cream for stuff like tacos. CraKaJaX originally got me hooked on a couple recipes like chicken salad using yogurt instead of mayo & I've been trying other things with it...not bad...

and no. I've tried a yogurt mayonnaise and it was awful. I've changed my diet in recent times to do away with all the "lite" products and just eat in moderation. Seems that satisfies the cravings. Combine that with daily exercise and I'm able to maintain my weight. My labs shows that I'm in excellent health. Went to the dentist last week and the checked my blood pressure. 103/50.

As far as hot dogs go, when I was a kid it was ketchup only. Hated mustard. As a grown up, on a regular beef hot dog I like ketchup, mustard, pickle relish and freshly chopped onions. Now, if we are talking bratwurst or kielbasa then some spicy/horseradish mustard is in order. I'm all for putting whatever you like on your food.

Didn't ask. I had broken a tooth and the assistant checked that beforehand. Maybe a dentist can answer your question.

Well, there is yogurt added to keep it creamy but it is a lot less fat and has a fresh taste but it still tastes great. It also tastes better to me when cold. I keep the jar in the refrigerator. It does not have to be, but i like cold mayo.
But to add one negative aspect, it contains more sugar compared to regular mayo. But it is real sugar and not hfcs corn syrup garbage.

edit, sigh. Now they also add that hfcs glucose fructose shit to it.It was not in it
