ps2, get final fantasy 12...ill sell you mine for like 35$ .

It took a long time -_-....or get him final fantasy 7....that takes 45 hours if you rush through it, 100+ if you do the sidequests.

You can also try Disgaea 2; and La Pucelle Tactics is supposed to be good. Also, get him Dragon Warrior 7 if he doesn't mind PSX RPGS...go crazy and get him FF9,8,7,Antholgies...Wild Arm 1 and 2...Xenogears....Wild Arms and Wild Arms 2...Chrono Cross (this one has a LOT of replayability even though its 20 hours if you go straight story, but it has multiple endings and something like 40 characters)

Also try Suikoden 3....

If he isn't the type that simply tries to rush a story and nothing more then Dragon Quest is a safe bet as doing the straight story is still absolutely killer

It took me about 24 hours to beat Zelda. I also did all of the side quests.

And doesn't the original NES Zelda take like an hour or two to beat?

It's all about the internet and learning the ways to beat enemies in an instant, instead of having to spend days figuring out a boss.
