He specified in a later post that he needed 'em for PS2.
And Planescape: Torment > BG2

Hehehe, yeah. Fallout 1&2 were also great games. Do you know of any other recent games like that?

I've heard the new Zelda game on the Wii is very long, and I'm sure the new final fantasy is very long, too.
It took me about 24 hours to beat Zelda. I also did all of the side quests.

I remember playing Ultima 6 on a commodore 64 for weeks before finally beating it.
My son plays Kingdom Hearts 2 for - count them - 2 days - and beats a 30$ game.
What?

OK... while we're on the subject of RPGs I have a side question to ask...
I haven't played an RPG since Final Fantasy 2 or 3 ( I don't remember ) on the original Nintendo (or maybe Genesis)...
Anyways... are RPGs (and specifically the newer Final Fantasys) pretty much still a linear type game where you are told where to go and what to do, along the way encounter the occasional enemy to battle (where you mindlessly choose the "Ball of Fire" spell over and over)?
At least, that's how I remember them being... have they changed much? I keep hearing people rave about the latest Final Fantasy and keep wondering what makes it better or different from the first 10?
I miss the days of the original Zelda, which was an RPG of sorts but you had to think, solve riddles, and occasionally get lucky to succeed...

I got Dragonquest VIII for $20 and I've put 126 hours into it now. Needless to say it's kept me occupied!
