If my life or my valuables were to be exposed to the whims of a hundred cops or a hundred people randomly selected from the general population, that'd be a damned easy choice.
It would be for all the anti-cop types here too, just most probably won't admit it.

Unless... it was 100 cops from the Culver City police dept (possibly the world's worst) in which case I'd take the choice of 100 random non-cops from just about anywhere for fairly good odds.

I'm telling out how cops actually act, as someone that is one and knows dozens. You're talking about how you would act if you were a cop. If you can't tell the difference... well, I don't really care. Take a look at arrest & conviction rates by race. As long as you continue to judge officers' performance based on arrest\conviction rates, they'll continue to target the easiest people to arrest and convict.

Actually if you do look at the date, you'll see that convictions for blacks are disproportionally higher than arrests by blacks (arrests 70/30 white/black, convictions 60/40). Not sure if it's due to adverse selection in income (ie average black person arrested is a lot poorer than the average white person arrested, so legal rep will be subpar).

Generally speaking though, INCOME rather than race is the predictor of arrests and convictions:http://www.cjcj.org/uploads/cjcj/documents/Does_age.pdf

The
findings of this preliminary analysis suggest that high arrest and homicide rates found
among California's young age groups, and also among Hispanics and African Americans
into late middle age, are due much less to age or race per se than to high poverty rates
adhering to age and race

In other words, if you look at the arrests and convictions by race while controlling for income, you'll see a different picture for rich blacks and poor whites.

That is, per your hypothesis, cops should be profiling poor people to boost their performance.

And what if one of these two were armed and shot these cop thugs? Chances of them being indicted by a grand jury? Very high!

Certainly there's some truth to targeting poor people, since they commit the most crimes easily observed by most cops. But its worthwhile targeting the minority in the nice car because you might get to take his car, house, bank accounts, etc. if he has drugs.

What we have learned here is that no matter the circumstances, if a minority is even looked at wrong by a white cop, it is obviously police brutality.

What we have learned here is that no matter what, if only 1 out 1000 cops overstep their bounds, then the entire U.S. police force is corrupt. Because racism, obviously.

What we have learned here that no matter how stupid a perp might be in not listening to common sense simple instructions from a law enforcement official, it is still obviously always the cops fault for the perps lack of common sense.

Yes, there are some bad cops out there. Yes, they need to be dealt with appropriately and immediately. Yes, on occasion some bad stuff happens to an innocent/semi-innocent civilian that shouldn't have happened otherwise.
But we also have bad bus drivers, school teachers, waitresses, husbands, wives, children, etc etc...

But I don't here anyone stating absurd generalizations that most or all of these people are awful racists, and burn down their neighborhoods and give themselves license to just act like jackasses for a couple of days.

No matter what your color or race, follow an officers instructions, act respectful (i.e. don't be a jackass), and don't give that officer a reason to believe you are going to act aggressively. Chances are mighty good that he/she will appreciate it at treat you with similar respect, even if they have to haul you in.
At that point, any complaints can be filed afterwards.

But thats obviously too simple for some. And doesn't make for good material by the race-baiters...
