It never fails the second I leave my door unlocked, someone comes to "borrow" something. Of course one idiot got burned bad infront of a bunch of managers. It's happened before but not on such a large scale. I was cleaning out my office and had about two dozen Cisco console cables. The pinout is not the same as a ethernet cable so it will not work for connecting to the network.
I guess this guy needed patch cables to get a bunch of upper mamangement on the network. Being the bigshot that he is, he grabbed the first bunch of cables he saw. I walked by the meeting just as tempers were flaring up. I was LMAO as I told the manager that those cables were only for use on Cisco hardware. They also weren't too pleased that the guy went in and grabbed the stuff without permission.
Funny day.
