Basically I was doing something I was pretty sure would get me cut if I didn't take precautions. I chose not to listen to my own inner monologue warning. So, of course, I got cut. Should have listened to myself.

The original post probably would have been written better if I wasn't woozy from losing entire drops of blood

Done that myself... With power tools. Got a close call with the mitre saw trying to cut a tiny block of wood, I kinda sat back and considered how bad that could have gone and never cut small pieces of wood like that with a mitre saw. Best to use the hand saw for those types of cuts, using the hands I still have.
