At Target 'GTA Vice City' for PSII is on sale for $15, about 51% off regular price. If you get a rain check you will have one hell of a hot deal. Technicaly the rain check is for PSII games only so YMMV.

well the game on sale has to be out of stock, get a raincheck for the sale, on it it says u can get that game or a similar item, which means any other game for that same discount, i did this for call of duty and got 5 of them for $11 each

This is a brilliant idea. I've used Target's rainchecks so I know what he's suggesting really does work. Just find a game shown in one of their ads and IF it's OOS, tell the associate you'd like a raincheck. Read the raincheck...it says you can use it for the item it was issued for OR an item in the same category or type.
Another tool for my dealhunting toolkit....

My experience has been that they'll substitute a PC Game for PC Game, Console Game for Console Game, but not PC Game for PS2 Game.

Some Target's will also limit you to a substitution for the same console... i.e, XBOX game for XBOX game, PS2 game for PS2 game, GC game for GC game... and won't let you substitute XBOX game for PS2 game, etc...

YMMV from store to store! Your best bet is to find a similar sale/out of stock item in the PC games section!

heh, read this before going to work, figured I would look into on my break. GTA was in stock, but I printed myself a raincheck. Then I snagged doom 3, rung it up and scanned the raincbeck, said items didnt match. I did a price override, rescanned the raincheck, and the computer accepted it, came up $22.92 + tax. Not bad if you ask me. Since I am techinaclly not alloud to rind myself up, i didnt actually buy it (plus i already have it). If i coudl get a bunch of copies this way I woudl ebay them, but its not worth it for just one. Either way, it works.

And just to check it out even more, I asked the team lead in electronics/toys/seasonal if you were supposed to be alowd to do it, and his responce was, "Technically no, but if you dont give a sh*t neither do I" whooo! In the end, it depends on who your dealing with. If the person is a target whore, they may not let you do it, but any part time kids who dont give a crap about there job will do it for you no problem...take me for expample, I would do it for anyone, like I give a crap if target looses money.
