According to the guys at HardOCP, they were playing Doom 3 on a P4 1.5GHz machine with a GeForce 4 MX440 video card and were "having a surprisingly good gaming experience." So if you have at least an MX 440, then you'll be OK.

At 640 x 480....don't forget that. And they had to turn Specular Lighting off, even after selecting Low Quality settings. He's obviously not going to be so processor limited, though....hard to tell how much is processor and how much is vidcard these days without just trying it.

I'm counting on ebgames.com and overnight delivery as my earliest chance to play this game. I hope this early release means I will be playing it tuesday morning instead of wednesday morning.

I went to the store (Brooklyn Center Best Buy) where Finalnight got his copy. Two employees there confirmed that it was there last night (when Finalnight got it) but was recalled by Best Buy corporate this morning. One guy I talked to was just pissed that he missed his opportunity because he didn't quite have enough cash on him last night . Oh well, I can wait till Tuesday.

It was setting at 100 when I checked.

Confirmed the release at Best Buy in Raleigh, NC. The sales associate said that a store had sold a few copies earlier, but they were not allowed to sell them until tuesday . Ahh well, the wait continues.

Well, I am waiting for the pricematch with circuit city 44.99 on friday to purchase. I got the $10 off for buying the stupid box 5 months ago too and the $5 off bestbuy gift card gamers coupon so my cost will be $30.

Heck I cant play it on my current system anyhow.

Yeah, same here re: system. I'm waiting for my 6800NU to arrive Mon or Tuesday from NewEgg. Just hoping to have it already unwrapped and ready to go! Oh well!

That guy is an idiot. He bought 3 of them before they pulled them. He's also banned for numerous reasons on several forums, including not providing merchandise to someone who bought from him.

Heh, me too! I juat got back from Gamestop and the guy I talk to there said that he's heard about the BB thing and swore he didn't have any. He even said he'd let me root throught the back room if I didn't believe him, lol. Shoulda taken him up on that...
