Hey everyone, this guy is a liar. I live in Minneapolis, MN (which is about eight miles away from Brooklyn Center), and I just got off the phone with Best Buy. They do NOT have it available for sale. I said that one of their Geek Squad guys says he bought it, and they said no way. They will not offer it until Tuesday. What a liar.

LOL!

I just don't understand what people get out of lying about this? Do they gain respect? Admiration? I think not. Just doesn't make sense to me.

256MB, minus 64MB for his (shared) video leaves him with 192MB.

1024MB PC2700 RAM
3 160gb WD 8mb 7200RPM h/ds
Windows 2000 SP4
550W PS

don't know anything else i told him it would probably run at low to middle cause of his video card and i told him to atleast upgrade to a 9800 pro.

He'll be able to play it, but only at low to medium (most likely low 640x480) resolution with the texture quality set to low.

Upgrading to a 9800PRO would allow him to play at 1024x768 res. at medium (most likely) or high texture quality.

Check this out for more info.

Did you call the Brooklyn Center BB? I was just at the my excellent compatriot Rapids BB and the young lass working in the video game section said she can't release Doom 3 until Tuesday.

Upgrade the video card. I could be wrong, but you might even have trouble getting low quality.

My Best Buy has 150+ copies of the game in stock in a huge display (4 ft x 4ft). However they will get fined several thousand dollars if they sell any before Tuesday.

Yes, 64MB video card minimum. But your 7500 isn't 100% directx 9.0b compatible. I think it's only directx 8.
