Screenshot of actual Doom3 on the suggested minimum system requirements.Originally posted by: jaybee77
What's going to happen if I buy the game and try to run it on my system?
I have an Emachine laptop Model M2105 2.8-GHz Intel Celeron; 256MB DDR SDRAM; 40GB, 4,200-rpm hard drive; 64MB shared Intel 82855 GME graphics; DVD/CD-RW combo drive; four USB 2.0 ports; 15.4-inch WXGA widescreen display blah, blah, blah...
Can my system even run this thing on minimum?
Graci.

Hey everyone, this guy is a liar. I live in Minneapolis, MN (which is about eight miles away from Brooklyn Center), and I just got off the phone with Best Buy. They do NOT have it available for sale. I said that one of their Geek Squad guys says he bought it, and they said no way. They will not offer it until Tuesday. What a liar.

You wont be able to run this game at all to be honest. First and formost, video is very important. Intel Integrated Video wont do the job. #2, RAM; iD has stated 384MB which you only have 256MB.

Someone in the thread mentioned they worked at BB so I'd figure they'd know

He'll be able to play it, but only at low to medium (most likely low 640x480) resolution with the texture quality set to low.
Upgrading to a 9800PRO would allow him to play at 1024x768 res. at medium (most likely) or high texture quality.
Check this out for more info.

Upgrade the video card. I could be wrong, but you might even have trouble getting low quality.
