It's in their flyer for next week, flux. Available on Friday apparently, though I'll pricematch it somewhere else if I can.
So any first impressions? How much space does it take on HDD and what drivers are you using 61.77?

My first impression is that it looks awesome but the sound for the machine gun is very weak.
Using 1.53 gig on my drive and I'm using the same drivers.

the game is very very dark, even with the brightness cranked up. Sucks that so much graphics power is used to generate the graphics only to have them blacked out. some graphics/driver engineer should figure out a way to drop the textures on 'darkened' spots to improve performance. i'm running 1024 high quality on a 9700pro. so far so good....
61.45, 1.47GB
I've only shot my first handful of zombies and my impression is that I like this game better than any I have played for a very long time.

Damn,I was afraid of something like that especially in such a claustrophopic atmosphere that the game generates. That's why I prefer outdoor scenery in FPS. Anyway does it look like washed out when you crank up the brightness? What about dynamic lights and shadows? And is there any apparent bandwith problem with the textures?
Cmon gimme some clue...

the brightness does cause some washing out of well lit textures. Not bad enough to complain about IMO. TONS of lighting and shadows. Best I've ever seen. A showcase only apparent in a pitch black room with lots of little moving/blinking light sources however.
i've not noticed any texturebandwidth problems aside from prolonged hiccups when entering doorways. level loading is a lot faster than farcry. takes up a lot less space than farcry. looks a lot better than indoor farcry levels.

I killed a lot of zombies and one big humanoid muther with spider like eyes with a shotgun. i thought i would lose lots of frames with such a large encounter. was smooth as silk, but I did drop him pretty fast-two shots to the head and chest-cut him in half have only played about 15-20 minutes though. i stopped for a while because I've had a lingering headache all day. I'm hoping there is a wider varietiy of enemies/monsters than farcry.

I'd say it's worth a trip to the East side.

Rollo dont take offense but in all seriousness are you gonna bench it on the ol 5800U . Im interested to see how it does. Also does anyone know how it will run on a 5900XT OCed to 5900U speeds on a 2500+ @ 2.2. Should i be able to do a bit better than a 9800Pro. Thanks, also how would you rate the intensity, like have you turned a corner heard a thump and find a monster coming down from the ceiling or something. (I ask because i remember a screenshot with a monster hanging in the ceiling beams.
Basically im asking has it scared the living sh!t out of you at all yet ?

Thats incredible Rollo. I will be interested in seeing those 5800U screens if you get a chance, it would really show the benefits of a 256bit memory bus and just how "future proof" the 5800U actually was.
The game is gonna scare the sh!t outa me. If i see monster climbing up a wall into the darkness im gona start backing up and adopt a very gittery trigger finger .
Anyone know how it should run on my system yet. |H| didn't mention anything on my system yet. 512mb of DDR33 @ 3200 2500+ barton @ 2.2 and 5900XT. Should i be able to squeak out high quality 1024x768, noAA and 8xAF. Or am i just having some wishful thinking.
