Has anyone heard anything on it since the video was released? A crumb? A morsel?
I am waiting for a great 1st person solo game ( bad online games are really getting on my nerves)I need some monsters to shoot!

My mistake. I should have said bad players not the games themselves. I love flying online in F4 and USAF but got sick of being killed by my own side in games like Q3, Diablo2 and Counterstrike. I guess I need to join a good clan but that takes time (something that work doesn't allow )Solo games allow a player with minimul time simply to sit down and play ( a fact that I think developers forget) So I have been looking forward to a good old fashioned solo game. One that sucks you in like the old Doom did (showing my age)I remember actually jumping when turning a corner and running into an Imp or trying to figure out where that hidden door was when you heard it opn way off in the distance.
Been a lurker here for years and finally registered.

Not heard a thing about Doom3 since the Video footage. However it looks like "Return to castle Wolvenstein" will have to quench your thirst for FPS gaming in a Single Player environment. I have to say the SP game will be absolutely superb if the report/reviews are anything to go by. The AI and Real time scripting sounds awesome. Me, I can't wait for either release. My GF3 needs summut to do. Mind you, it's doing a very good job of reducing in price. LOL

There are heaps of games currently out that fit that description. What games do you have now? Do you have Quake 2, Unreal, No One Lives Forever, Star Trek Voyager - Elite Force and Undying? All of those games have great single player scenarios.

I bet a LOT of people will be doing some heavy-duty upgrading when Doom3 emerges - the video footage looked like it would require an SGI workstation to run competently!
