Doritors recently came to NZ so today I'm eating my first bag. What's the big deal? They just taste like normal corn chips - good, but not great. Disappointing.

Nacho Cheese is the standard flavor here in America, Cool Ranch is a distant 2nd. If you can, find the kind that is cooked with Olestra (Oleans), fat free (save for possibly the cheese) and taste just as good.

You need to start with Nacho Cheese.

Once you've become used to Nacho Cheese... then... and only then... can you possibly work your way up to Salsa.

Cool Ranch used to be my favorite back in the day. Then I started to enjoy the taste of the more unique flavors.

I get in the mood for them every so often. When I want something like that, nothing else will do. I agree though, they aren't all that generally speaking. Ranch is my favorite normal flavor. They've had some non standard flavors I've really enjoyed too, but I can't remember what they are.

Their regular nacho ones are OK. I'm more a fan of the other flavors though.

I wish they would come out with 4 cheese again. The habanero ones were awesome too.

The 3D cheddar cheese jalapeno ones ruled. They've since moved that flavor to jalapeno cheddar cheetos now. Which in turn rule.

I believe they updated the formula, or I have grown immune. I had 1/2 a bag of the Lays kind the other night and no diarrhea, only a mild case of gas.

The formula years ago really, really messed my guts up.

What ever happened to those 3D ones? I could eat them until my mouth was raw.

If you get a chance try out the habanero ones.
