Naked people doing laundry in the laundry room. (this became a common sight)

The big sign my roomie posted in his window facing the north tower dorms that read "Gigglo" and gave our phone number. The messages on our answering machine were priceless.

There is so many more stories.

The floor of the dorm that I'm on is mostly "honors engineers" in a "learning community," so things tend to be a bit more mild than some of the crazy stories related here (and to be certain, I do enjoy the calmer atmosphere to some degree). However, the RA is intensely politically correct, to the point that lots of crap that people post on their doors (humorous parody exams making fun of certain professors, articles expounding upon the meaning of "fünf gegen einen," etc.) gets taken down. Of course, the drawing of genitalia on markerboards was outlawed after the floor experienced a proliferation of penises on the first day... Please tell me that not all freshmen dorms are like this.

Those of you accusing the OP of being "no fun" are missing something. The OP is female. Seeing a naked woman is not as big a thrill to her as it is to you all.

And you're all the same group of guys who'd be complaining and weirded out if the guys in your dorm routinely walked around with their equipment in full view. Despite what you see in porn, girls aren't really all excited to see each other naked either.

I disagree, many girls I know/notice comment alot on each other's bodies, even when showing skin.

If I saw some dude come out in a pair of posing trunks/speedo/nut huggers and he looked decent, I wouldn't be disgusted...I'd probably think it's funny and make a comment to him. Regardless of my thoughts, the women will win. If some idiot did the same and really had no game, I am sure it'd be a feeding frenzy of ridicule.

Seeing naked people in dorms is a part of most of them here in Florida. Many are branching out finally sexually (while their parents think nothing can happed in a dorm). I can't say I ever saw a chick in full-see-through lingerie in a dorm kitchen, but I have seen a lot of towels falling off, chicks opening their 'side' and doing a quick flash, ALOT of see though nightshirts without bras, quite a bit of wanna see my new tat, piercing, boobjob...etc. I wish I lived in dorm at one point.

If you are going to have a problem with someone else's freedom, community living is the wrong place to be.

I agree that people shouldn't live in dorms if they don't like community living. That's why they shouldn't force people to live in dorms. I think that people should have their freedoms but they should keep them the hell away from me.

When I transfer to the university, I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that I'm not in the dorms with these kinds of people. If they'll let me, I'll add the cost of house rental to my student loans.

most student loans don't require living in dorms.

The schools that require you live in dorms your first year or two are usually talking to the parents and/or wanting to profit more on each new candidate.

I know a lot about parent's thoughts on dorm life from being down here in the southern baptist belt. Funny thing is there was a prominent 'christian high school' here that prided itself on students free from secular problems like pre-marital sex, but then extended it to also no STD's, Pregnancy, abortions since they aren't having sex...

Fact was the senior class had two rumored girl virgins (class of about 30 or so), I was with two of those chicks, my brother one. The sad part was most of the guys in the class were virgins. I really don't know the reason why, but in a normal high school...you have sex happening, but in the end it's usually guys being pretty active and only some of the chicks. In many 'pro-parent' schools I sampled its opposite. I think I'd want it the other way if I had a daughter.

Well, I'm still getting over being raised Southern Baptist. I've gotten used to the idea of other people having fun, but I'm still not to the point that it's something I want to do.

living in the dorm is hilarious on a daily basis

tons of people down in the lobby 2 nights ago...a guy ran through with a towel over his face and nothing else on. he ran up to a girl, did 5 jumping jacks, started screaming and ran away.
i thought i was going to pass out from laughter.

i take a shower every morning at 7:30 and 3 other guys are always in there (friends, we are all engineers). we just leave the curtains open and talk through the mirror in front of the showers. its pretty funny...oh yeah, we also do this while we are taking a sh!t.

randomly busting in peoples rooms at 3:00am to hit them in the balls and then run away...gotta love that one!

mooning people out the windows

food runs to wendys and McD's

pretend kidnapping people and locking them in trunks

scaring girls late at night in the parking lot (got chased by campus security for this)

roman candle wars in the faculty parking lot (no cars in there, its just gated so it makes it harder to get away when we are spotted)

stealing things out of peoples rooms temporarily and hiding it in the ceiling tiles

ping-pong tournaments the night before a final that last until 4:00am

the list goes on and on...college is so much fun. i absolutely love it.


oh yeah, one other thing. there is a guy that walks around naked in the dorm all day. it is absolutely hilarious when he carries around his guitar. he will walk into peoples rooms naked and start playing for them in the middle of the day. i also paid this kid 5 dollars to snort a saltine cracker up his nose.

The only thing i rememebred when i lived in a dorm is playing CS with thw whole entire floor. You owuld hear everyone start yelling stuff like, "You noob!!!! Nade him!". I rememebr one time everyone stoppe dplaying CS because teh guy next door to me was banging a chock and man, was she a moaner. The room was furthest from the bathroom, yet you could still hear her when you were in the bathroom.
