My current router does not provide coverage to my entire house and trying to figure out what is best option.
1. Purchase a more powerful router
2. Turn my dormant phone system into a network. I no longer use my phone lines in my house which have CAT5 wiring but the outlets are T11’s. I was thinking I could just put new faceplates on the outlets and create a network but have a few questions.
a. Will the current Telephone junction box work; it has all 8 wires for each phone line in the house tied into it?
b. The order on the T45 connection;
i. Current order on junction box for Telephone Module:
1. Blue / White Blue
2. Orange / White Orange
3. Green / White Green
4. Brown / White Brown
ii. When wiring the T45 connection would I follow the same order or use the standard T568 A/B order. Not sure if the T45 needs to be in the same order as the Telephone Module.

post some pictures of what you have. long answer short, definitely a possibility to repurpose the cables.

You won't be able to use the telephone junction box, you'll need to punch the cables down into a patch panel or keystones of some kind.

Doesn't matter what standard you use, 568A or B, just make sure each end of the run is terminated the same.

Can you check the certification on the cables? They need to be CAT5e certified to get 1Gbps. Standard CAT5 (which is likely used) will only get you reliable to 100MBps and will cause endless problems if you try to fool it into working at 1G.
