DOS command line execution of Outlook 2007?

I have a batch file that, among other things, sends e-mails directly from the command line. Our company currently uses Novell GroupWise and I found a utility that allows me to use a DOS command to send an e-mail, including parameters for subject, recipients, etc. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we are switching to Outlook in a few weeks. Is there a similar utility that would allow me to do the same thing? Or, is that functionality already built in to Outlook.exe?

I take it you mean that the server is going to be migrated from GroupWise to Exchange? If so, the client doesn't matter because both use SMTP to send mail.

I'm not sure I understand. Right now, I'm using a program called GWSEND.EXE that allows me to send the e-mails from the command line. Here's a sample line:

C:\PMAP\GWSEND.EXE /T="Bob Smith";"Fred Jones" /S="September EMPR - JONES" /A="JONES 2008-2009.PDF"

where /T = To: recipients, /S=Subject line, /A=Attachment file

Are you saying that since both are SMTP-based, I would be able to continue to use this same utility?

Actually, I think I just found something that might do the job.

Ah, the tool you're using now is part of GroupWise. I figured it was a generic SMTP tool like blat.

Yep. Sounds like Blat might just do the trick.
