Drow's only active ability is Silence and it's not even spammable. At level 2 or after bottle, Silencer should be able to harass her like no tomorrow. If played right, however, Drow should be able to come in and out of FOW and last hit. Silencer wouldn't dare to put himself between Drow and the creeps because Drow can just AA him to death if he gets too close. Nonetheless, either hero mid is a bad decision IMO. Both heroes are highly susceptible to ganks since neither has a reliable form of escape and neither can gank effectively.

Drow's silence is 90 mana, she starts with 195 base mana.

Last Word would silence and disable her for 3-6 seconds if she doesn't cast a spell. 2 Curses of the Silent would deplete her mana completely.

Silencer is great against hero's like Drow with only 1 or 2 active spells (Skeleton King, Bloodseeker, Sniper).

ah, I see. since these silencer spells also do damage, it might be a problem for drow.

technically, frost arrows is a spell, too, but that doesn't trigger 'em silencer dots. makes sense, heh, balance and whatnot.

Playing Skywave Mage is fun, his combo just melts people.

Not half as fun as countering him with Pugna ward. I've one shotted two different people already

First thing I do when I see Skywave Mage in my lane = EASY FIRST BLOOD! He is so squishy!

Really? Everyone has like 25 keys in their inventory, and you can get one for signing up on the website - I don't think you need to worry about someone making an account just to get a key

Elder Titan being released today. Just like Skywrath Mage, he was a hero that was released after I left DotA 1.

Just looking at his skills, I have a feeling I'll be mismanaging everything trying to use that spirit

Yeah he looks like another strange hero - have they left some of the more complicated heroes for last on purpose, it seems as though the last few released (slark, skyrath, Bristle, tusk) plus the ones left (techies etc) are by now means straight forward heroes.

No. I havent either, although I quite fancy playing Skyrath, but because I play a lot of single draft and it just happens that none of these heroes have come up. It also depends on your playstyle, I'm really bad at manning up and running into the middle of things, diving towers etc which is how you are supposed to play bristle so I would probably not to very well with him. I also think Tusk is a pretty junky hero in Pubs, the amount of times I have got off a perfectly placed Crystal Maiden or Witch Doctor ult only for Tusk to snowball me and interrupt it...

Tusk can be fun as can Bristleback, and I see quite a bit of both in pubs.
People haven't quite figured out Skywrath yet, and he seems to require the right team comp to do well. If there are lots of stuns and slows it makes it easier to get his high damage ult off.

He can do some insane damage on a team with a good Faceless. In general, if he has mana, he can do some ridiculous damage early and mid game. He's just super easy to kill.

I'm up to Tiny on my A-Z challenge. Less than 20 to go.

Queing with 3 AT Members we were able to pull this awesome combo off:

The other team was much stronger than us with a fed Windrunner and already snowballing our team by a 2-1 ratio in kills.

After the combo we were able to push mid to take their RACKs (other team did not get our racks). Before the combo they were killing me first in team fights as you can tell by the opposing team's chat... we just needed one more Engima/Warlock combo to win (even though we were over powered), but after that devastating skill combo the opposing team focused on Engima in team fights.

We lost but it was fun... the game could've swinged either way even though we were out leveled.

The three AT memebers were Troll Warlord (wjp), Enigma (drake), and Warlock (ROADKILL_626).

I am wjp btw! (Don't look at my win rate, I don't know why it's so bad, I often feel I do well only to lose anyway)

The 4 main keys to that combo were:

1) Engima's Black Hole bringing everyone closer together
2) Warlocks Fatal Bond
3) Troll Warlod dealing massive damage (being a hard carry) that distributes 20% damage to other heroes not being the main target due to fatal bonds.
4) Golem's battle fury "cleave" damage

Love how Ancient Apparition just walks right into the black hole. I've found that happens a lot for me as well - I do a black hole, it's just a little bit off so it catches only four people, but then the fifth person obliges us and walks right into it.
