Did any of you guys bought war 3 cd key from http://g2buy.com and had it successfully set up for dota and other multiplayer games? Is frozen throne necessary?

You need TFT for Dota.

I don't use Hamachi anymore. I used to on occasion. It seemed to have a multitude of issues. I would suggest Garena. It does the whole LAN simulation thing, but people use it. So you will be playing against other Dota players. Even if you are starting out it should be ok. I don't think most of the pubs on there are any better then your average bnet pub.

there is a RoC dota and an FT dota.
the FT is a lot better.

I've been playing Garena lately. But I have really been disapointed with the overall level of play there. It seems to me there are fewer noobs on Bnet. Anyway I am totally game to play with any of you guys anytime. Delusion on Bnet, Mugman on Garena. It would be awesome if eventually maybe we could get somekind of AT clan or something together.

It like a faster Bnet with ranks and crap. Basically gives people a non Bnet place to play. It's also where a lot of the online tourneys are hosted because it reduces pings. It pretty much does the hamatchi thing with lan emulation over the internet I think. I will just add that I have been playing TDA's lately and am so far enjoying it. It's nice to play with no leavers.

Do any of you want a key to beta test Heroes of Newerth? It's supposed to be inspired by DOTA. I've never played played DOTA though so I can't say how close it is to the original.

Game is pretty sweet for beta. I like the interface 100 times better. The graphics too. I just wish they had the same voices and the animation was a bit cartoonier.
