Was about to bump today. Damn you Sid beating me out on what I thought would be good
Hit 345 testing out this weekend at 165lb
Do I get bonus points for having a genetic defect(bar bone) fusing my left ankle and heel together? I'm honestly surprised I can squat as much as I can with my screwy left leg/ankle/knee. Last time I tried "heavy" I did 315 x3 @ 165lbs on my last set.
Quick someone dare me to do 330 in a couple weeks.
I would love to do the squats but I have very bad knees.
I'm one of those who look top heavy at the gym. #sad
If you're doing 315X3 then you should be ready to attempt 330. Genetic defects get props, yes. The British kid missing half his ribs deadlifting 500@130lbs was pretty impressive.
Nice work man, updated. You're getting into some heavy territory there! Next stop 450. I sent you a PM for some motivation.405lbs @ 201lbs

Santa pulled an early delivery of gains this Christmas. I knew he'd come through though.
Nice squat. From the camera placement it looked like the pins were set too high to possibly hit parallel, but certainly did. Nice speed out of the hole too. Good work.
The cynic in me wonders how many of you actually get parallel or lower? I see a lot of quarter squats... Something like this, in my opinion needs a video.
Squats are the unique lift that I always question people's numbers for that reason. Many people think they go parallel but video analyses indicates inches above, sometimes even higher.
DL and BP are much more believable because you can't really cheat them. Sure, you can use bad form or bounce, but you still did the full range, which isn't necessarily true for squat. People generally will tell the truth, but when it comes to squats the truth is subjective, unlike the DL and BP.
Either way, congrats to anyone on this list. Even racking some of the weights I see listed is a feat.
And, because it may appear like I am thread crapping, I'll throw in that I am not yet back to a 2x BW squat. In fact, I am not sure I ever was. 330 high bar ATG (no belt, wraps, etc) @ 178 was my best. But this gives me something to work towards. That said, my Squat was never my strongpoint as I do too much sprinting and track type work to effectively recruit motor units for maximum lifts.

Sent you a link of my 500 high bar squat from last year. Good luck to a fellow high bar squatter!
