Sure but you have to remember there is always those few clothing items that may drag on the floor because there longer than the rest.

Ours is like that, pants only on the bottom and it messes up space for shoes.

Same problem in my master bedroom closet. I just simply hang long stuff in a closet in another room since they're suits, which I rarely wear anyway.

I have no other closets that are empty. They all are full of clothes already to the limit.

I have no problem with shoes because I am going to either put them on a shelve or buy a little shoe rack.

i have one...i use the top for pants and bottom for shirts as there is more room on bottom w/ shoes under than on top...works pretty darn well
