Question Doubt anyone will know what the issue or how to fix but it is the strangest one I seen. AT&T Fiber works on most devices except 2

A Samsung TV and a Playstation 5 internet does not work on mostly. Here the kicker Netflix will work on the Samsung TV but that is the only thing.

Just the AT&T Gateway/modem BGW320 with everything on Wifi.

Short answer everything setup like it is by default from AT&T.

Most use a router behind any ISP equipment.

I have a 5G FWA CPE that has a built in router/wifi as well and usually use my DIY setup because I don't trust what I can't control. Though I do use the AP when I want to confirm network issues that come up from time to time or when I drag it along with me outside of the house to save on phone data.

Are the devices in question connected and working otherwise?

Is there some app specifically not working as you mentioned Netflix?

If the device isn't working does it show you that it has an IP? Can you ping it from another device while connected?

Have you tried using Ethernet and see if you have the same issues?

True I know I do.

This is for my nephew though. He is not a pc geek and lives far away so I can't set him up with a third party router easily unless I want to drive 500 miles every time sadly.

He just uses the AT&T equipment no extenders from AT&T. His house is small though. Front tv and his ps5 use to work fine.

We tested the ps5 with a ethernet cable and it still did not work.

No Netflix actually works everything else like YouTube TV does not.

Yes the device shows it has a IP like the tv. Not sure if he would know how to do that.

Does he has a PC? Smartphone? Ask him to download and install AnyDesk on PC or smartphone to remote control.

It's even better if you can remote into his smartphone, because you can ask him to use rear camera to live stream what he is viewing and you can see it too, especially while trouble shooting Samsung TV / PS5 that's not a PC/laptop/smartphone/tablet

I don't know other ways to do live stream, sorry.

Also try to run some IP scanners.

It is my nephew's own Netflix account he pays for yes.

We do not use Netflix anymore. No we never shared it.

well im thinking it might possibly be netflix's awkword password sharing block.
No one really knows how they are doing it... Some say its gonna be IP locked.
Others are saying it could possibly be device limited.

Did you sign up for any of AT&Ts security offerings? I noticed when ordering 5G business class T-Mobile was tacking on a security bundle which default blocks some of these social media and media applications. I had them remove it because we already do it on our firewalls.
