How is 1200p for gaming? Do most games support it out the box or do you need to do 1080p and either stretch to screen or get the horizontal bars?

I don't think I'll ever go back to TN.

The pros of IPS far, far outweigh the pros of TN. I play plenty of faster paced games, and have never noticed any ghosting or lag of any time, and the color depth and richness far outstrips the TNs I've tried.

IPS for me. The TN might get the extra frame rates and stuff, but at the end of the day, I use my screen for a lot more than just FPS games.

I prefer to also get a good screen as it generally lasts a lot longer than the rest of the computer before I go and upgrade it for some reason. That and as I am looking at it all the time, it helps to be looking at a good screen that does not irritate me in some way. My current main is a LED 27" HD I bought a few years ago. The one before that was a good 4:3 1280x1024 (x2).

OP, it sounds like buyers remorse. I know where you are coming from, but remember that it will cost you a bit to change (selling it / restocking fees and just getting another one that may have a higher price tag). So best be sure that the things you do not like are worth nearly the full changeover costs of that monitor you do want.

It gets very expensive very quickly if you find yourself wanting to change every few weeks as you find something that you dislike.

I uaully do a lot of research and comparison, this time I did, but not enough, but because i've had an IPS monitor for the last 4 years, I know that I will be very happy with the Dell monitor. (My main reason for changing my IPS from the start was to get a larger screen..)

I've noticed that if I'm not looking for something wrong with the monitor, then it almost doesn't matter what monitor I'm using. At first I notice things, but the brain adjusts quickly and then I get lost in the game or whatever else I'm doing. That said, I love my monitor but I remember loving my last ones just as much and they were TN panels.
I'll give an example. Yesterday I calibrated my monitor with a Spyder 5. After calibration, the colors became more natural and everything was corrected and looked great. I switched it back to non calibrated profile and there was an obvious green tint to the whole screen, but I never noticed that before, and if using the monitor for more than 2 minutes, I stop noticing the green tint and everything looks normal again.
I switched back to the calibrated profile and again took notice of the accurate color correction, but after a couple minutes I stopped noticing that too.
My last monitor was a 27" 1080P TN. It has huge pixels that if I were to go back to now, I notice right away. But when I used that monitor I remember it being crystal clear and very nice and it would be that way again if I were to use it for an hour or so.
