I've never understood the mentality behind thinking people who wreck their car playing around are "jerks" or "douches."

He was just having fun in his car with zero chance of hurting anybody else and it unfortunately ended badly.

You apparently have the wrong impression of zero chance of hurting anybody else. He easily could have been sent to his left instead of right into the tree (pun intended).

There is a difference between something like an abandoned lot and an active intersection.

That was an active intersection with people both standing around and driving other cars. In other words, a piss-poor place to screw around. There was no need whatsoever to fishtail the car there.

Yeah, doubtful he'll be doing that again soon. At least not in his own car.

lol I swear ATG is more about not driving and having fun than anything else.

You guys must have been some introverted teenagers.

They say around REAL DRIVERS the only people that haven't wrecked are those that don't drive!

To lift or not to lift does not matter if you don't know what you are doing. He should not have attempted that.

There is doubt that he did not know what he was doing or that he should have not attempted it ( come on, cop right there, piblic street, others around, where is the face palm smiley ).

once he started down that path the lifting of his foot off the gas caused his problems, if he would have stayed in it the car would have continued to rotate around into a spin out right in the middle of the street and possibly not even hitting the curb.

Perhaps you have axle hop and insufficient power to really break loose, but he didn't

lol speak for yourself. Id do that in 4th gear and still be wrapped around a tree... that's why I don't do it :awe: At least not 10 feet away from curbs and trees

Do you not think these people are the ones being stupid?

How many videos to these children have to put online before they realize perhaps standing in the way of cars exiting a car show may not be the brightest idea.

No, pretty much the guy in the Vette who couldn't control his car was the only one being stupid. Standing by the side of a public road shouldn't be dangerous or deemed "being stupid."

I bet the guy driving the Vette was cursing those stupid kids all the way home for his bent wheel.

Having fun is crashing your muscle car into a tree! You heard it here first people!

you are the bubble boy of the car world. I am willing to bet out of all the terminator owners you'd score in the lowest percentile of people that ever take chances.

Dead serious. They know what's up...many are probably hoping someone gets close enough so they can kick the car or something.

Did you listen to the commentary in any of these vids? It's like they are waiting for this to happen.

Which is also why the cops are present in every one of these and halting traffic.

I used to work right next to HRE Wheels in Vista, CA. One day 4 cars showed up next door so I walked out back to talk with the owners and generally just gawk at the cars. There was a modified Porsche Carrera GT, a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Ferrari F430, and (saving the best for last) a Maserati MC12. The guy in the Carrera GT was giving rides to a couple of the guys at HRE Wheels and then he was doing donuts with it in the back lot.

I'm sure if he binned it there would have been lawsuits and cops and amberlamps involved.

It was pretty cool to watch though I'll admit that.
